A few details about the role:

• Organize and maintain active and inactive files on all admissions and discharges. Coordinate telephone orders and other forms to physicians for signature.
• Develop, revise, and enforce health information policies. Create all medical record forms. Revise request for records and HIPAA related forms as required.
• Provide nursing training regarding health information and compliance procedures in communicating and sharing health information with authorized family members.
• Calculate and report daily census information.
• Orchestrate physician compliance of public health and Medicare requirements for physician visits. Notify any physician out of compliance.
• Manage all paperwork in the clinical record, completing necessary notation of information.
• Initiate monthly random chart audits. Implement recommended action plans to increase the privacy level of health information.
• Compile necessary information for release of health information requests. Ensure compliance, accuracy, and security of health information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain log of all record release of information.
• Expedite subpoena responses auditing records prior to release.

And here's what you need to apply:

• Associate degree
• Two to three years applicable experience
• Health Information Management or Medical Records certification preferred.
