Research, write, review, disposition feedback, and finalize recommendations regarding cyber security policy, assessment and authorization assessments (A&As), security test and evaluation reports, and security engineering practices and processes. Conduct research and write risk assessment reports to include risk thresholds, evaluation, and scoring. Support analysis of the findings and provide expert technical guidance for mitigation strategies, including implementation advice on the cyber security risk findings, and other complex problems. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. A minimum of five (5) years experience as an Information Assurance (IA) Analyst, ISSE, ISSO, or similar role in ATO package development, including generating security documentation for requirements, security control assessment, STIG and IAVA compliance, Standard Operating Procedures, test results, etc. eMASS experience. Professional security certification such as: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP, or higher. Strong desktop publishing skills using Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with industry writing styles such as grammar, sentence form, and structure. Ability to multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment.   • Endeavors related to a faculty member's teaching assignment that contribute to the discovery, dissemination, and practical application of knowledge and/or skill.
  • Acquire and/or maintain certification.

  • Provide competent advising to students seeking AAS, AS, and/or AA Degrees and program certificates.
  • Fulfill College service requirements by making meaningful contributions on campus and/or to community service groups.
  • Participate in institutional and departmental recruitment and retention activities. Assist in the evaluation and selection of textbooks and other resources and materials in one's assigned area.
  • Serve on department, division, and institutional committees.
  • Assist in program and curriculum review, revision, and the development and assessment of learning.
  • Maintain classrooms and/or labs.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to embrace and apply the provisions of the College's mission statement, purpose, philosophy and commitment to diversity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a computer related field; plus,
  • One (1) year (2000) hours of related work experience within the last seven (7) years
  • A+ Certification or the ability to become certified within one (1) year of beginning employment
  • Shall hold or qualify for a full-time, post-secondary vocational credential in Computer issued by Aims Community College CTE Office. The preference is 8,000 - 10,000 hours of work experience or a combination of work and teaching experience.
  • Ability to teach using methodologies that support a student-centered learning environment.
  • Computer literacy and the ability to use computer technology in classroom/lab instruction.
  • A willingness to take classes in teaching methods, curriculum development, computer applications or other coursework deemed necessary by the Department Chair, Academic Dean, or Program Director.
  • A positive attitude toward teaching courses in varied modalities, including online, synchronous remote and traditional face-to-face.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for teaching the following skills: Client-side web scripting languages-using JavaScript and popular JavaScript Libraries such as jQuery, Server-side Web scripting languages - object oriented- PHP Database management using SQL in conjunction with server-side scripting (PHP-MySQL, HTML/HTML5, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Content Management Systems- Word Press, Drupal, Joomla, Microsoft Office Applications- Word, Excel, Access, Use of command line on Windows, Unix and Apple systems for file system management and batch scripting, Graphic formats use and manipulation, A+ Courses

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate or Terminal Degree in Computer Information Systems or another related computer field.
  • Experience teaching in computers at the college level. Secondary teaching experience will be

considered.

  • Experience teaching and supporting traditionally underserved student populations.
  • A demonstrated aptitude for developing course content and teaching in varied modalities: online, synchronous remote, traditional face-to-face, and blended (hybrid) versions of each.

Faculty: Upon hire, must submit academic transcripts from an accredited institution.
