The House Supervisor is responsible for the clinical practice of nursing which includes assisting the CNO in directing all services provided by the Nursing Services Department including evaluating, reviewing, designing and implementing hospital training events with respect to all RN/CNA/MHT staff required training. As a member of our department head team this position ensures the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, programs and services consistent with the facility's goals and objectives, and actively participates in a leadership role by consulting with facility management in designing and providing total patient care and services and provides an adequate staffing pattern to meet patient needs, based on patient census and as determined by the patient acuity system. Standards of Performance: Ensure that all staff members deliver care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Practice during assigned shift. Ensure hospital policies and procedures are being followed and act as a resource to the staff. Responsibilities for compliance with the Joint Commission, CMS, state and regulatory standards and patient rights standards. Ensure Infection Control, Safety and Risk Management policies and procedures are consistently implemented.
