Job Description

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking a Production Analytics Engineer to join our Production Excellence team, supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our LNG liquefaction facility. This role blends deep production engineering knowledge with a growing suite of digital tools to optimize and monitor plant performance in real time. The ideal candidate brings experience in LNG or hydrocarbon processing, a strong grasp of process fundamentals, and a passion for using data to improve operations.

You will work alongside Gas Supply, operations, engineering, and Commercial Operations teams—as well as collaborate with business intelligence, data engineering, and machine learning specialists in IT —to build user-friendly tools that drive performance and unlock insights from our production systems.

Requirements

  • Help develop tools that track and improve LNG production performance, including dashboards, automated reports, and alerts.

  • Translate operating data into actionable insights that improve plant reliability, availability, and throughput.

  • Automate the Analysis of production trends, loss events, and deviation from expected performance; support investigations (e.g., RCAs) and mitigation planning.

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual tracking and reporting processes, improving accuracy and timeliness of information.

  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and BI Developers to ensure accurate data flows and fit-for-purpose dashboards.

  • Provide insights and technical input to the annual delivery plan, production forecasts, and ongoing performance reviews.

  • Share learnings across teams and contribute to standardizing best practices across facilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (or related discipline).

  • 5+ years of production or process engineering experience in LNG, petrochemical, or hydrocarbon processing industries.

  • Demonstrated success improving plant operations using data, analytics, or automation.

  • Working knowledge of production systems, control room operations, and key process equipment (e.g., heat exchangers, compressors, refrigeration systems).

  • Familiarity with data and reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI, or SAC; experience with Python or SQL is a plus but not required.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working alongside BI, data engineering, or IT teams on analytics or digitalization projects.

  • Exposure to commissioning or troubleshooting of cryogenic or liquefaction systems.

  • Understanding of cloud-based tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Data Lakes (training can be provided).

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to evolving operational needs.
