Hydrovac Excavation is a non-destructive method of excavating as an alternative to mechanical equipment or hand-digging. Hydrovacs use pressurized water and a vacuum system to quickly, safely, precisely and cleanly excavate around utilities, pipelines and numerous other applications. MUST HAVE A MINIMUM CLASS “B” CDL LICENSE WITH TANKER ENDORSEMENT and CLEAN DRIVING RECORD. Key Responsibilities Seventy percent or more of the job’s work time is spent operating the on-board hydro-vacuum system outside the truck performing non-destructive excavation around sensitive underground piping and cables. Other Hydrovac work consists of cleaning and vacuuming, mobilization of equipment, truck maintenance, safety meetings, etc. Heavy lifting at times is required. Working at heights are sometimes required The job requires typical construction type hours with some weeks being less than 40 hours and other weeks very busy requiring 50 plus hours. Requirements MUST HAVE A MINIMUM CLASS “B” CDL LICENSE WITH TANKER ENDORSEMENT and CLEAN DRIVING RECORD. This is achieved with a focus on cyber security awareness and compliance, accreditation support and cyber incident response. The Technician serves as the primary point of contact for endpoint security management, firewall and network management monitoring solutions, and vulnerability scan operations. This role supports cyber event investigations and events. Information security Applies and maintains specific security measures as required by organisational policy and local risk assessments. Contributes to the identification of risks that arise from potential technical solution architectures. Suggests alternate solutions or countermeasures to mitigate risks. Defines secure systems configurations in compliance with intended architectures. Supports investigation of suspected attacks and security breaches. Information assurance Follows standard approaches for the technical assessment of information systems against information assurance policies and business objectives. Makes routine accreditation decisions. Recognises decisions that are beyond their scope and responsibility level and escalates according. Reviews and performs risk assessments and risk treatment plans. Identifies typical risk indicators and explains prevention measures. Maintains integrity of records to support and justify decisions. IT infrastructure Carries out routine operational procedures, including the execution of specified automation tools/scripts. Contributes to maintenance and installation. Monitors and reports on infrastructure performance to enable service delivery. Resolves issues or refers to others for assistance. Vulnerability assessment Undertakes low-complexity routine vulnerability assessments using automated and semi-automated tools. Escalates issues where appropriate. Contributes to documenting the scope and evaluating the results of vulnerability assessments. Information Security Administration Works with access controls for firewalls and endpoint security solutions. Assists in the operation of day-to-day administrative transactions and systems. Performs periodic system backups and produces standard monitoring reports. Coordinates user access and maintains security checklists and authorization tables. Tests the effectiveness of new or revised information security procedures and tools. Information Technology (IT) Security Policies Performs information gathering and research on key elements of IT security policies. Assists senior colleagues in identifying and analysing critical issues in IT security policies. Executes IT security policies and standards within a specific region in organization. Conducts performance reviews on implementation of IT security policies. Generates status reports for senior management to ensure the implementation of IT security policies. Travel: Business travel to NATO and national (NATO and non-NATO) facilities as well as some travel between the NCIA offices Requirements Skill, Knowledge & Experience: The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance Secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience. At least 4 years practical experience of implementation and maintenance of cyber security systems within a large organization. Working experience administrating and monitoring cyber security software. Good understanding of cyber security systems and the ability to work independently to solve problems. Working experience troubleshooting technical issues and providing technical support to end-users. Language: A thorough knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential. Training/Certifications (desirable): Security Professional certification (CEH, GIAC, ISC2, or other relevant certification)

Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Windows Systems Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team supporting a mission-critical federal environment. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of Windows-based systems, networks, and applications. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and support Windows-based server and desktop environments
  • Administer and support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and related core services
  • Deploy and manage Windows systems using enterprise deployment tools (e.g., SCCM, MDT)
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources
  • Provide technical support to end users via phone, email, and in-person support
  • Administer and support enterprise email systems, including Microsoft Exchange and Outlook
  • Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations
  • Develop, maintain, and update system administration documentation and procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Windows Desktop operating systems
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS
  • Experience with Windows deployment and configuration tools (SCCM, MDT)
  • Understanding of backup and disaster recovery concepts and procedures
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a secure, fast-paced environment

Certifications Required

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph (must be a current active clearance)

Preferred / Beneficial Skills

  • Experience installing, configuring, and supporting Linux (Server and/or Workstation)
  • Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Python, and/or Bash
  • Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent industry certifications
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint protection
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
  • SQL Server administration experience
  • Familiarity with IT service management tools and frameworks (e.g., ServiceNow)
