JOB SUMMARY The Interconnection Engineer (IE) acts as a Subject Matter Expert to support the origination, development, and delivery teams from siting strategy through project delivery. The IE will manage grid injection analysis and studies, estimate interconnection costs and schedules, develop standard processes & tools, and manage interconnection databases. The position requires a strategic approach to identifying financially attractive and technically feasible points of interconnection on the distribution and transmission grid in assigned regions, as well as the tactical execution of a portfolio of interconnection queue positions underpinning the company's project pipeline through construction. This position is responsible for driving projects through project delivery by negotiating and executing Interconnection Agreements, aligning milestone schedules with equipment procurement and construction timelines, coordinating closely with utilities and EPC partners throughout. The role also ensures compliance with interconnection agreement obligations during construction and supports seamless integration into commercial operations. The Interconnection Engineer reports directly to the Senior Manager of Interconnection and Grid Strategies.
