As a Cybersecurity Analyst / Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), you will assess and strengthen a Army's security posture by conducting STIG-based configuration reviews and leveraging ACAS and SCAP vulnerability scans on new or modified systems. You will apply cybersecurity engineering principles-aligned with NIST/RMF-to evaluate system requirements, define hardware and software security characteristics, and recommend cost‑effective design modifications. Your analyses of proposed system designs and deviations will ensure resilience against projected threats in operational environments.

What you'll do:

  • Assess the security posture utilizing STIG files, ACAS and SCAP scans of new, or modifications and improvements of existing equipment and systems applicable to PM mission.
  • Apply CS theories, principles, standards and information systems security methods with a working knowledge of the related engineering disciplines to evaluate system requirements.
  • Determine hardware and software design detail and security characteristics necessary to meet security and operational requirements.
  • Recommend design changes and techniques leading to cost-effective system security assessment.
  • Analyze specific system designs, modifications or deviations in hardware or software subsystems to ensure they will adequately resist established and projected threats in installed environments.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Active Secret Clearance (DoD) is required
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
  • 6-9 years of experience
  • Professional Certification (Preferred): GSLC, CISM, or CISA certification. IAT Level I or IAT Level II
  • Working experience and knowledge of Army/ DoD Cybersecurity (CS) policies and requirements.
  • Ability to assess project security posture from artifacts pertaining to, but not limited to VoIP, Video and Voice transmission; underlying OS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and virtual platforms.

SALARY RANGE: $101,000 - $130,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:

  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
