Responsibilities: Perform abrasive blasting (grit, sand, or other media) to prepare surfaces for coating. Apply primers, epoxies, urethanes, and other industrial coatings using spray, brush, or roll methods. Read and interpret work orders, data sheets, and technical specifications for coating requirements. Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity) and material properties to ensure proper coating application and curing. Inspect surfaces for cleanliness, profile, and coating thickness using appropriate gauges and tools. Perform masking and taping to protect non-coated areas. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and inspection results. Follow all company safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and respiratory protection. Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs. May be responsible for providing back-up driver duties and responsibilities. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. 1-3 years of experience in industrial coating and blasting preferred. Familiarity with coating systems such as epoxy, zinc-rich primers, and polyurethanes. Ability to read and understand technical specifications and safety data sheets (SDS). Comfortable working in confined spaces or at heights with proper training. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
