THE WORK We are seeking a talented and experienced Training Supervisor (TRASUP) and Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) Instructor to support the Aegis International Programs team and conduct waterfront and schoolhouse training. This individual will support a multi-instructor and developer workforce providing instruction and curricula updates for our International Program customers and in support of schoolhouse and shipboard training. Assist in the development of new training materials, revise existing curricula, and support simulation virtual courseware updates and deployment. Deliver formal training for internal and external customers, conduct instructor evaluations, and submit training reports. Approximately 25% of the work for this position will be as part of a training team with travel opportunities available to support our international customers in locations such as Japan, Australia, Norway, and South Korea. THE WORK

  • We are seeking a talented and experienced Training Supervisor (TRASUP) and Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) Instructor to support the Aegis International Programs team and conduct waterfront and schoolhouse training.
  • This individual will support a multi-instructor and developer workforce providing instruction and curricula updates for our International Program customers and in support of schoolhouse and shipboard training.
  • Assist in the development of new training materials, revise existing curricula, and support simulation virtual courseware updates and deployment.
  • Deliver formal training for internal and external customers, conduct instructor evaluations, and submit training reports.
  • Approximately 25% of the work for this position will be as part of a training team with travel opportunities available to support our international customers in locations such as Japan, Australia, Norway, and South Korea. Some training will also be provided at the Aegis Training and Readiness Center (ATRC) in Dahlgren, VA and there are also opportunities when work can be completed in a telework environment.
  • Qualified candidate must have a final DoD Secret Security clearance to be considered.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Certified as Navy Instructor with applicable Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) code, previous instructor experience with documented certification, or Bachelor's Degree in education.
  • Ability to discuss operational concepts related to Aegis Weapon System and Aegis Combat System
  • Proven communication skills with the ability to work independently and as a team contributor.
  • *Qualified candidate must have a final DoD Secret Security clearance to be considered.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Desired Skills:

  • Master Training Specialist certification
  • Relevant USN Aegis Baseline 9 operational experience
  • Tactical Air Control experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
