The Account Manager is responsible for escorting a job from the initial customer contact through design, production, and mailing.  In a typical day, the account manager will utilize email, teleconference, and telephone to work with customers, graphic design and data processing contractors, USPS contacts, the production supervisor, and the accounting team.  There is an established work process to support those new to direct mail while being open to learning from the experiences of those more established in the field.  Our production facility in Charlottesville, VA is equipped to print, cut, fold, insert, and address many mail pieces.  This position has the opportunity for an increased scope to include promotional products, should business needs and employee performance support that. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Develop and/or maintain relationships with current and potential customers. Grow business by encouraging current customers to use Brandscape services outside their current scope of work. Align direct mail and related services with customers’ marketing and other strategic needs. Assist with bids on large-scale and commercial jobs. Accurately communicate customer needs to Data Processing and the Production Team, along with any outside vendors. Partner with the Production Manager to understand the production requirements of each job, ensure that jobs are completed on time, and reduce downtime in the production pathway. Support account other account managers when their normal sales occasionally include direct mail. Collecting diagnostic samples, imaging, and non-laboratory diagnostics (BP, EKG, SPO2) for analysis while understanding normal parameter markers to help facilitate in next steps of diagnostic preparation and communication to Veterinarian. Assist with patient preparation and positioning for imaging (CT, MRI, ultrasound) or procedures as needed. Obtaining and performing orders from Veterinarians for inpatient treatments and hospitalizations while understanding all the steps associated with hospitalization including IV Catheter placement, fluid therapy, creating electronic treatment sheets, calculating, and administering required medications, and calculating and administering fluid bolus requirements . Assist in placement and maintenance of intravenous catheters, nasogastric tubes, central lines, JP drains, thoracic tubes, and esophageal feeding tubes . Assist Veterinarians in all aspects during surgical procedures from developing anesthetic protocol, administration of pre-medications and induction agents, intubation, surgical prep, maintenance and monitoring of general anesthesia, assist in surgical procedure as needed, recovery care of patients post anesthetic episodes, proper medical documentation of anesthesia monitoring, and understanding side effects of anesthetic agents being administered . Able to perform blood typing, crossmatches, set up for transfusions, and understanding clinical signs of transfusion related reactions . Understanding and able to perform proper medical record documentation in accordance with hospital policy and the board of veterinary medical standards . Assisting Veterinary Assistants in completion of End of Shift checklists to properly prepare for your relieving teams’ success on shift, including restocking, logging controlled substances, cleaning kennels, vacuuming, and mopping . Collaborate with specialty services (Neurology, Surgery, Anesthesia, Radiology, Internal Medicine, Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology) to carry out care plans and facilitate ongoing diagnostics. Prepare patients for discharge, including review of at‑home care instructions and medication plans. Assist with patient transfers to and from ER or other specialty services in a timely, organized, and medically appropriate manner. Participate in medical rounds and hand‑offs with ER and specialty teams to ensure continuity of care. Alert the DVM to any changes in patient status, including but not limited to pain levels, vital sign fluctuations, and unexpected clinical findings. Compensation: Compensation is based on experience and skill set, ranging from $28 - 32/hr.
