Job Description
Job Responsibilities and Requirements
The Senior Program Manager, Talent Development is a senior individual contributor role that strengthens organizational capability through a combination of talent partnership and leading professional development training programs. The role operates at the intersection of business strategy, talent practices, and learning—partnering with leaders to support critical talent moments while owning scalable development experiences for the enterprise. Rather than functioning as a transactional training role, this position focuses on enabling decision quality, building manager and employee capability, and ensuring talent investments translate into practical outcomes aligned to enterprise priorities.
We are looking for someone who is results-oriented, is customer-service focused, can move quickly, insists on the highest standards, and is not afraid of ambiguity. They will have the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, and are passionate about working collaboratively with multiple HR stakeholders.
Talent Management:
- Serve as a talent partner for assigned departments, working closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders to enable effective talent outcomes aligned to business strategy.
- Lead department-facing enablement for core talent practices, including performance process and calibration, succession planning, and talent assessment support, etc.
- Prepare leaders for key talent moments through clear guidance, toolkits, and targeted sessions that improve decision quality and consistency.
- Design and deliver bespoke talent programs or interventions (e.g., manager effectiveness, role transitions, capability building) aligned to departmental priorities.
- Use data, leader input, and talent insights to identify risks, opportunities, and recommended actions; elevate themes and improvements to overall talent strategy.
Learning and Development:
- Own the enterprise professional development curriculum, including strategy, roadmap, and ongoing evolution. Program examples include mentoring, aspiring managers, career management, etc.
- Define and maintain scalable learning pathways aligned to enterprise values, behaviors and competencies.
- Design and deliver high-quality professional development programs using a variety of delivery modalities.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and continuously refine offerings to ensure relevance, adoption, and impact.
- Source and manage vendors as needed to support or scale professional development initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provides routine assessments and updates to various stakeholders on the impact of department programs.
- Assists in the ongoing planning and communication of programs.
- Remains current on developments in training and instructional methodologies, including technology enhancements, and attends periodic seminars, forums and meetings to ensure currency of education.
- Proactively network with other organizational training functions to share information, best practices, and build deeper collaboration.
- Performs any and all other duties as necessary and as assigned by manager for the efficient running of the Department.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience:
- 7+ years of experience spanning learning program design/delivery and/or talent management enablement (performance, talent review, succession, manager effectiveness).
- Expertise in leveraging the ADDIE model to execute broad training initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a consultative partner to leaders: intake, diagnosis, influence, and solution shaping.
- Experience facilitating leader-facing talent sessions (calibration prep, manager enablement, talent programs, workshops).
- Strong program and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and drive high-quality execution in ambiguous environments.
- Strong written and verbal skills; ability to translate complex processes into clear, practical tools.
- High standards for customer experience and deliverable quality; results orientation and bias for action.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Workday experience preferred.
Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
