Director - UX Design

JazzX AILos Altos, California
About JazzX AI: Vision: Enterprises operating on institutional intelligence—governed, self-improving, and scalable beyond individual expertise. JazzX AI is defining the future of enterprise work—by building AI-native digital workers that actually get the job done. We believe enterprises don't scale expertise—they lose it. Knowledge stays trapped in individuals, judgment gets applied inconsistently, and the best talent spends time on work that should run itself. We're changing that. JazzX AI transforms messy enterprise reality into institutional intelligence: governed digital workers that capture expert judgment, make every decision explainable, and continuously improve through real-world execution. The result is faster decisions, higher-quality outcomes, and reliable execution at scale—in domains where getting it wrong isn't an option. We're starting with lending and due-diligence workflows—complex, regulated, high-stakes. From here, we're building the backbone for enterprise intelligence across industries. This is early-stage, hard, and consequential work. If you want to be part of bringing AI systems to market that actually run in production, handle real complexity, and deliver real outcomes—not demos, not chatbots—JazzX AI is the place. Headquartered in Los Altos, CA. Backed by SAIGroup. About SAIGroup : SAIGroup a private investment firm that has committed $1B to build and scale next-generation, AI-powered enterprise software companies. SAIGroup’s portfolio serves 2,000+ global enterprise customers, generates nearly $800M in annual revenue, and employs 4,000+ people worldwide — providing JazzX AI with long-term capital, deep operating expertise, and access to real-world enterprise scale from day one. Learn more about JazzX AI: Website: https://jazzx.ai LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/jazzx-ai Learn more about SAIGroup: Website: https://saigroup.ai About the Role The Head of UX Design is a foundational leadership role at JazzX. You will define how humans and AI collaborate to get real work done in complex enterprise environments—how judgment is surfaced, decisions are explained, and autonomous systems are supervised safely and effectively. You own the experience layer where institutional intelligence becomes usable, trusted, and adopted at scale. This is a true 0 → 1 → scale role. You will set the UX vision, design and ship core workflows hands-on, establish the design system and research discipline, and build a world-class UX organization as the platform expands across industries. You'll design for professional users operating in regulated, high-stakes enterprise workflows where precision, auditability, and trust are non-negotiable. What You'll Do Define the UX vision for AI-native digital workers: Set principles that balance automation with oversight—clarity, control, explainability, trust, and speed—for enterprise users managing high-stakes workflows Lead user research and workflow discovery: Build the research practice and become deeply fluent in enterprise personas—their incentives, constraints, and pain points Architect the platform experience and design system: Build the foundational design system and define AI-specific patterns for task state, reasoning visibility, confidence signaling, audit trails, and enterprise-grade controls Own end-to-end product experience and adoption: Oversee UX across all product surfaces, define success metrics, and ensure JazzX is embedded into users' day-to-day enterprise workflows—not experienced as another tool, but as part of how work gets done Build the UX function and design culture: Hire, mentor, and scale a world-class team of product designers, UX researchers, and content designers Support product storytelling and demos: Partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales to translate capabilities into crisp, intuitive narratives for enterprise buyers and end users What We're Looking For 0 → 1 builder with startup DNA: Able to architect an end-to-end user experience from scratch. A player-coach who will stay hands-on (Figma, prototyping, research) while laying the foundation for scale Deep enterprise software experience: Proven track record designing complex B2B applications for professional users. You understand enterprise buying cycles, multi-persona workflows, and the realities of deploying software in large organizations AI-native and agentic UX expertise: Deep experience designing AI-powered systems where AI performs consequential work and humans supervise outcomes. Strong instincts around human-in-the-loop controls, explainability, auditability, and trust-building UX. This is not chatbot UX. Full-stack UX leader: Equally strong in user research, information architecture, product design, user interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and usability testing—with a high bar for craft and shipped quality Design systems thinker: Able to build a scalable design system that increases engineering velocity while keeping the product coherent across workflows and future vertical expansions AI-fluent in your own practice: Uses AI tools in your design work—prototyping, research synthesis, concept generation. The design leader should be pushing boundaries on AI-assisted design, not just designing for AI Comfortable in regulated, complex domains: Experience designing for environments where accuracy, compliance, and trust matter (financial services, healthcare, legal). Mortgage/lending experience is a strong plus 12+ years of UX design experience, with a proven track record leading design for enterprise products and a strong portfolio demonstrating shipped enterprise products, complex workflows, and design systems. Why Join JazzX AI - What draws people to JazzX AI is the opportunity to build something truly foundational. We are at the beginning of a new era — one where enterprise systems will no longer be static tools, but dynamic collaborators that learn, reason, and evolve alongside the people who use them. At JazzX AI, you’ll help build a platform that redefines how work happens in the AGI era . JazzX AI brings together vision, deep technology, and purpose . This is not about experimenting with AI features; it’s about turning the promise of AGI into practical, auditable, and human-aligned systems that enterprises can trust and rely on at scale. The work here directly impacts productivity, efficiency, and decision-making in complex, real-world environments. If you’re motivated by building systems that matter — systems that combine intelligence with responsibility — JazzX AI offers the chance to do that work at a deeper level, with real ownership and lasting impact.

Job Description

About JazzX AI:
Vision: Enterprises operating on institutional intelligence—governed, self-improving, and scalable beyond individual expertise.
About SAIGroup :
SAIGroup a private investment firm that has committed $1B to build and scale next-generation, AI-powered enterprise software companies. SAIGroup’s portfolio serves 2,000+ global enterprise customers, generates nearly $800M in annual revenue, and employs 4,000+ people worldwide — providing JazzX AI with long-term capital, deep operating expertise, and access to real-world enterprise scale from day one.

About the Role

The Head of UX Design is a foundational leadership role at JazzX.

What You'll Do

  • Define the UX vision for AI-native digital workers: Set principles that balance automation with oversight—clarity, control, explainability, trust, and speed—for enterprise users managing high-stakes workflows
  • Lead user research and workflow discovery: Build the research practice and become deeply fluent in enterprise personas—their incentives, constraints, and pain points
  • Architect the platform experience and design system: Build the foundational design system and define AI-specific patterns for task state, reasoning visibility, confidence signaling, audit trails, and enterprise-grade controls
  • Own end-to-end product experience and adoption: Oversee UX across all product surfaces, define success metrics, and ensure JazzX is embedded into users' day-to-day enterprise workflows—not experienced as another tool, but as part of how work gets done
  • Build the UX function and design culture: Hire, mentor, and scale a world-class team of product designers, UX researchers, and content designers
  • Support product storytelling and demos: Partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales to translate capabilities into crisp, intuitive narratives for enterprise buyers and end users

What We're Looking For

  • 0 → 1 builder with startup DNA: Able to architect an end-to-end user experience from scratch. A player-coach who will stay hands-on (Figma, prototyping, research) while laying the foundation for scale
  • Deep enterprise software experience: Proven track record designing complex B2B applications for professional users. You understand enterprise buying cycles, multi-persona workflows, and the realities of deploying software in large organizations
  • AI-native and agentic UX expertise: Deep experience designing AI-powered systems where AI performs consequential work and humans supervise outcomes. Strong instincts around human-in-the-loop controls, explainability, auditability, and trust-building UX. This is not chatbot UX.
  • Full-stack UX leader: Equally strong in user research, information architecture, product design, user interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and usability testing—with a high bar for craft and shipped quality
  • Design systems thinker: Able to build a scalable design system that increases engineering velocity while keeping the product coherent across workflows and future vertical expansions
  • AI-fluent in your own practice: Uses AI tools in your design work—prototyping, research synthesis, concept generation. The design leader should be pushing boundaries on AI-assisted design, not just designing for AI
  • Comfortable in regulated, complex domains: Experience designing for environments where accuracy, compliance, and trust matter (financial services, healthcare, legal). Mortgage/lending experience is a strong plus
  • 12+ years of UX design experience, with a proven track record leading design for enterprise products and a strong portfolio demonstrating shipped enterprise products, complex workflows, and design systems.

Why Join JazzX AI -

What draws people to JazzX AI is the opportunity to build something truly foundational.

We are at the beginning of a new era — one where enterprise systems will no longer be static tools, but dynamic collaborators that learn, reason, and evolve alongside the people who use them. At JazzX AI, you’ll help build a platform that redefines how work happens in the AGI era.

JazzX AI brings together vision, deep technology, and purpose.
