Who You Are

We are seeking a highly skilled ASIC & FPGA Design Engineer to join our team in developing and deploying Radar and Electronic Warfare capabilities on FPGAs using Vitis HLS. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing digital systems for Radar and Electronic Warfare capabilities deployed on FPGAs.

What You Will Do (The Work)

  • Design and implement digital systems for Radar and Electronic Warfare applications using Vitis HLS and other FPGA development tools
  • Develop and optimize algorithms for signal processing, image processing, and machine learning acceleration on FPGAs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FPGA designs with other system components, including software, firmware, and hardware
  • Test and validate FPGA designs to ensure correct functionality and performance
  • Optimize FPGA designs for power consumption, area, and timing
  • Develop and maintain documentation for FPGA designs, including schematics, block diagrams, and user manuals
  • Collaborate with other engineers to develop and implement new technologies and techniques for FPGA design and development

This position is located out of King of Prussia, PA.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance at the Top Secret level.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field
  • Minimum of 7-9 years of relevant development experience
  • Experience with Vitis HLS and other FPGA development tools, including Vivado and Quartus
  • Experience with FPGA design methodologies, including RTL design and VHDL and/or Verilog
  • Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms on FPGAs
  • Understanding of digital system design principles
  • Knowledge of communication protocols and interfaces, including PCIe, AXI, and SPI
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Active or ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • Ability to support up to 10% travel

  • Master's degree or higher in relevant field

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
