We are seeking a Mechanical Design and Prototyping Engineer with a strong foundation in CAD modeling, a passion for hands-on fabrication, and the creativity to solve novel mechanical challenges. You will play a key role in quickly transforming concepts into functional prototypes using tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, and other rapid prototyping equipment. This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in fast-paced R&D environments and enjoys working across disciplines to iterate and build real-world systems. We're seeking passionate individuals eager to educate students in the fields of architecture and 2D art. If you're enthusiastic about guiding students as they explore new creative horizons and develop critical skills for their futures, we want you to join our team. Your role will involve teaching the provided curriculum, fostering a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere, and encouraging students to reach their full potential.

Location:

This role will be in-person at one of our partner schools in Brooklyn, NY. Most of our partners are Jewish, single-gender schools.

Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 1:05 PM - 4:50 PM

Requirements:

  • Charismatic, positive personality
  • Strong interest in helping students grow
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Aligned subject-specific experience (preferred)
  • 1-2 years of teaching experience (preferred)
  • Previous teaching experience in architecture and/or 2D art is preferred.
  • Proficient in using digital tools and software relevant to architecture and 2D art.

Salary:

$50-65/hr
