This Senior Design Director role is a key project leadership team position responsible for accomplishing HNTB's 4for4 performance objective: quality work, on time, on budget, and to the client's satisfaction. This opportunity entails leading the development and execution of the design management plan while building and maintaining effective and meaningful staff and client relationships. This position serves as HNTB's senior project leader, managing and delivering all aspects on super-mega design projects, with construction costs in excess of $1 Billion. Responsibilities include leading large teams of professionals and oversight of all technical aspects, operations, contracting, project controls, quality, risk, and change management. The DB Senior Project Design Director implements the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project. What You'll Do: Develops and nurtures key client relationships and is the primary company contact on assigned projects. Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies. Responsible for financial performance on projects. Proactive management of cash, budget, schedule and project scope to ensure adherence to project goals and completion to the client's satisfaction. Partners with Client Service Leaders to develop long term strategies to identify and pursue additional business opportunities with key clients and with pursuit champions on efforts for mega and super mega projects in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA). Works with the pursuit team and marketing resources to prepare appropriate proposal and presentation materials. Leads interview and proposal presentations to the client as well as general presentations within the industry. Performs other duties as assigned. What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 12 years of relevant experience including 6 years of experience successfully managing and delivering mega and/or super mega projects. Must perform other duties dependent on business needs at the direction of engineering leadership. Education/Experience & Skills: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree or higher, and 5+ years of engineering experience working in a R&D environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 2 years of opto-mechanical engineering experience is preferred. Must be proficient using CAD software to create parametric solid models and associated drawings, SolidWorks highly preferred. Must be experienced using a PLM system for complete product lines, Agile preferred. Must be capable of performing highly complex analyses such as FEA, kinematic and dynamic motion, CFD, and/or heat transfer. Must be able to generate clear, fully dimensioned, ASME Y14.5 compliant drawings of complex parts using logical datum structures and functional dimensioning schemes. Must be familiar with GD&T symbology and standard inspection methods. Must be capable of completing complex tolerance stack analyses. Must have a fundamental understanding of manufacturing methods including machining, metal injection molding, plastic injection molding, stamping, extrusion, forging, and casting as well as knowledge in material selection, heat treatment, and coatings. Must have practical experience with mechanical assembly. Must be able to independently define and resolve complex problems by collecting and analyzing data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, and executing viable solutions. Firearm and sports optics experience along with a knowledge of the shooting sports industry strongly preferred. Must have a positive attitude and communication style. Working Conditions: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks. Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required. Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates. Salary

The base salary range is $127,000-$159,000 per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance.
