What you will do:  Lead and inspire ŌURA’s software design teams, setting a high bar for design excellence across mobile, web, and future platforms. Define and drive the creative and artistic vision for software experiences that reflect ŌURA’s mission and brand. Champion a cohesive, user-centered design language that unifies product experiences and meets strategic business goals. Partner with Industrial Design and Interaction Architecture teams to craft seamless, end-to-end integrated experiences. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, science, and marketing to embed design deeply into product development cycles. Spearhead innovation in emerging technologies, with a strong emphasis on AI-powered, contextual, and agentic interaction models. Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing software design team, cultivating a culture of excellence, experimentation, and inclusivity. This is a San Francisco - based role that involves regular interaction and collaboration with Oura colleagues in Finland and across the US. Time zones: Finland is in the Eastern European Time Zone, which is 10 hours ahead of US Pacific Time; for example, 7 AM in San Francisco is 5 PM in Finland. Standard office hours in Finland are 9 AM to 5 PM. For this role, applicants should expect regular meetings between the hours of 6 AM and 9 AM Pacific, and be open to occasional meetings even earlier, or sometimes, very late in the evening Pacific time. Time zones: Finland is in the Eastern European Time Zone, which is 10 hours ahead of US Pacific Time; for example, 7 AM in San Francisco is 5 PM in Finland. Standard office hours in Finland are 9 AM to 5 PM. For this role, applicants should expect regular meetings between the hours of 6 AM and 9 AM Pacific, and be open to occasional meetings even earlier, or sometimes, very late in the evening Pacific time.
