Job Description

As our Senior Graphic Designer, you will take a lead role in all design aspects within Summit’s art department. You will collaborate with a team of graphic designers and support them by providing direction and skill development, as well as team up with other departments including marketing, product development, and sales. The Senior Graphic Designer will possess excellent attention to detail, demonstrate leadership capabilities, and assist in the continued development of Summit’s visual collection. This position will influence every element of the brand—from concept to cotton. Summit offers a creative atmosphere with a passion for city pride, college towns, and pro sports!

Responsibilities

- Bring a new age to graphic design, utilizing A.I and scripts to increase both creativity and efficiency among designers.
- Oversee the entire graphics process—from concept ideation to final print-ready artwork.
- Guide and mentor a team of graphic designers, fostering growth and collaboration. 
- Translating branding guidelines from licensed entities into fresh, compelling designs that appeal to fans and students.
- Stay ahead of design and streetwear trends, incorporating relevant elements into our collections to ensure designs are competitive and cutting-edge
- Collaborating with product development, marketing, and sales teams to create standout collections including seasonal releases, catalog and website development.
- Manage and refine creative workflows to ensure efficiency and high-quality output.
- Approve final designs for production and ensure all work meets brand standards and deadlines to customers. 
 

Skills and Knowledge

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Proficiency in Adobe Creative (InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Excel) suites, Strong Portfolio showcasing expertise in t-shirt or apparel design, Strong understanding of typography, color theory, print production, and apparel decoration techniques.

Qualifications

Qualifications - Undergraduate degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience. 3–5+ years of proven experience as a Graphic Designer or in a similar role; experience in professional or collegiate licensed apparel is preferred.

Physical Requirements - Work is typically performed in an office, but projects may sometimes take the employee to a non-standard workplace. Requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages, and other items up to 25 lbs, and walk short distances.
