Duties Include: Responsible for being the core team quality representative for design control projects – new product development as well as sustaining efforts. Manage all quality aspects of the design control process: quality planning; verification and validation planning and execution; risk management; regulatory and compliance support. Provide clarification and guidance to teams on overall quality system with emphasis in design controls. Work closely with Program Managers to ensure design deliverables are met and can be released to limited commercial and/or general release. Identifies areas requiring quality improvement and initiates and follows through plans of action necessary for implementation. Active participant in the development of product requirement, product system hazard analysis and design reviews. Lead/own or support CAPA investigations and CAPA closures. Ensure product technical files and Design History Files are complete and auditable. Job Duties: Designing custom solutions using the item machine building kit using the item Engineeringtool and Solid Edge with item add-on as necessary. Transfer drawings into company enterprise recourse planning system (ERP-System) to create quotes for customers. Technical Support and specialization for the item Engineeringtool. Working with the sales team to provide best solutions for customers. Prepare customer orders for productions. Quality control of assembled and ready-to-ship solutions. Administrative tasks and communication between the headquarters in Germany, item LLC and distributors. CAD Maintenance. Technical and product training as required. Candidate will report to the Head of Engineering. Requirements College degree with a major in engineering or a comparable degree or experienced mechanical technician. Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience with CAD Software (Solid Edge / Solid Works). Analytical skills and a business focused approach. Familiar with the metric system (beneficial but not mandatory). General understanding of modular aluminum extrusion systems such as 80/20, BOSCH Rexroth, MiniTec, MB Kit Systems or Tube & Joint systems such as Creform, Trilogiq or NIS. Skills at any kind of ERP system such as SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Job Description

As we continue to innovate and grow, we’re searching for a forward-thinking FPGA Design & Verification Engineer I to help us build the future of capital markets infrastructure. 

As an FPGA Design & Verification Engineer I, you will:

  • Design and implement components for high-performance FPGA compute and networking systems used in electronic trading
  • Write verification plans and implement testbenches to ensure design correctness
  • Own design and verification projects through the entire FPGA development life cycle
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical problems at the intersection of hardware and software
  • Learn and grow your technical capabilities with mentorship from senior engineers

Required Qualifications:

  • Completed or pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related
  • Demonstrated digital design and verification experience through relevant internships, academic projects, and/or professional work
  • Experience writing RTL in SystemVerilog or VHDL
  • Familiarity working in a Linux environment
  • Proficiency with a scripting and/or high-level software language (e.g. Python, Perl, or similar)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Understanding of advanced digital logic design and computer architecture concepts
  • Experience working with FPGAs and familiarity with FPGA tools (Vivado and/or Quartus)
  • Familiarity with networking protocols (IP, TCP, UDP)

This position requires being on-site at our office in Needham, MA full-time (5 days per week)
