Teach the Illustration process, visual problem solving, and design thinking. As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will provide a wide range of expertise for flight control and mechanical systems of the New Shepard reusable launch vehicle. You will participate in the entire design cycle including system architecture, requirements derivation, conceptual and detailed design, system performance modeling, structural analysis, manufacturing and integration support, development testing, and qualification. You will define component groups (e.g., actuators, mechanisms, valves, manifolds, piping, and sensors) including design, specification, procurement, processing, testing, and discrepancy resolution of specific components. Performing flow and pressure calculations to size systems and components. Experience in 3D CAD programs such as NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, Pro/E, etc. Proficiency in analysis including hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency with Creo, Windchill, and Ansys. Familiarity with typical aerospace hydraulic standards and best practices. Experience:

Qualifications: A qualified candidate will present a professional portfolio of original illustration work with evidence of substantial competencies in:

It is anticipated that BYU faculty members will: (1) live a life of loyalty to Jesus Christ and His restored Church and align yourself with doctrines and teachings declared by living prophets, seers, and revelators; (2) demonstrate intentionality in building faith in Jesus Christ and testimony of His restored gospel among students and others in the BYU community; and (3) teach your subject matter with the Spirit of God and strive to keep it "bathed in the light and color of the restored gospel" (Spencer W. Kimball).
