Job Description

The Defense Systems group at Leidos currently has an opening for an RF Design Engineer supporting the RF Engineering portfolio in Huntsville, AL. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience in RF and electrical design for advanced RF systems that provide critical information to customers. 

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will perform radio frequency (RF) design, hardware builds, algorithm development, and analysis across a variety of both research and development and operational tasks. The candidate will help evaluate, select, integrate, and test commercial off the shelf (COTS) RF devices for forming complex RF transceiver systems. The ideal candidate will have an interest in supporting the full product life cycle from concept through prototype to production.

Basic Qualifications:

  •  Requires BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience. (Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar with 4 years of experience)
  • Working Knowledge of RF cascade analysis
  • Requires a current DoD Top Secret clearance to be considered. (U.S. Citizenship is required)
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in Huntsville Alabama.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of DSP concepts (match filtering, coherent integration, etc.)
  • Defense industry experience.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI w/ POLY
