This position reports to the Firm's Senior Public Relations Manager and is responsible for supporting and collaborating with members of the Marketing and Business Development (MBD) Department, Firm leadership, and business services teams in the development, implementation, and delivery of graphic design elements of market-facing materials. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Providing graphic design service for print and electronic market-facing materials, including: materials for client pitches and RFPs, such as pitch covers, PowerPoint slides, tailored team sheets, and one-pagers brochures and one-pagers for practice groups, industry service teams, and centers of excellence events materials, such as digital invitations, signage, agendas, banners, handouts, PowerPoint presentations, and nametags templates and individual graphics elements such as maps, infographics, icons, and attorney digital signature files graphics for use on the Firm's external website and social media accounts sponsorship ads the Firm's annual holiday ecard for clients and other Firm contacts Providing graphic design support to Firm leadership, business services teams, Firm committees and initiatives, and office administrators for internal Firm campaigns and projects Administration of the Firm's Digital Asset Management platform and graphics assets, including Firm logos and original and stock photography Management of all attorney and employee photos, including: managing relationships with photographers across the Firm's footprint researching new photographers for new office locations and remote attorneys and professionals maintaining the attorney and employee photo database adapting photos to specifications needed for internal and external websites uploading attorney photos for bios on the Firm's external website Ensuring all market-facing materials are consistent with the Firm's brand identity and with design best practices Overseeing the ordering of Firm stationery (business cards, letterhead, envelopes, note cards, etc.) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams Proficiency in Canva Proficiency in Canto or comparable digital asset management (DAM) platform Basic knowledge in Windows 11 Excellent organizational and project management skills Superior attention to detail along with ability to multi-task and work within multiple deadlines Ability to communicate effectively and establish credibility with professionals at all levels of the Firm, including senior leadership EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in fields relating to graphic design and/or three to seven years of experience in a graphic design role. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Candidates hired to teach in the Graphic Design program must possess a Master's degree in field or one of the following: Master's in a related field with graphic/digital concentration Master's degree with Bachelor's degree in field Master's in Fine Arts and a current technology certification Master's degree with 12 graduate hours in field ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS Provide instruction with the focus on teaching and learning to help assure students successfully meet all course outcomes and classroom objectives. Participate in professional development activities that develop and enhance teaching and facilitation skills. Participate in campus wide initiatives in support of recruitment, retention and graduation goal attainment including but not limited to, monitoring, adjusting (when needed), and assessing classroom program retention/graduation and meeting with program advisors on a regular basis to discuss student performance and academic concerns. Fulfill all administrative duties related to instructional responsibility. Adjuncts sign a contract with the Dean at the beginning of each term that outlines the class, contact hours, the dates and time of class. Campus based classes are 15 weeks and are paid bi-monthly over an 8-paycheck time frame. The class salary range is $1,450.00- $1,950.00 Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate of the base pay for this position. Job Description

Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz, PC has an immediate opening for a Graphic Design Specialist. This position may be based at any office location within the Firm’s footprint.

This position reports to the Firm's Senior Public Relations Manager and is responsible for supporting and collaborating with members of the Marketing and Business Development (MBD) Department, Firm leadership, and business services teams in the development, implementation, and delivery of graphic design elements of market-facing materials. Essential functions are primarily job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation made by the employer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Providing graphic design service for print and electronic market-facing materials, including:
    • materials for client pitches and RFPs, such as pitch covers, PowerPoint slides, tailored team sheets, and one-pagers
    • brochures and one-pagers for practice groups, industry service teams, and centers of excellence
    • events materials, such as digital invitations, signage, agendas, banners, handouts, PowerPoint presentations, and nametags
    • templates and individual graphics elements such as maps, infographics, icons, and attorney digital signature files
    • graphics for use on the Firm's external website and social media accounts
    • sponsorship ads
    • the Firm's annual holiday ecard for clients and other Firm contacts
  2. Providing graphic design support to Firm leadership, business services teams, Firm committees and initiatives, and office administrators for internal Firm campaigns and projects
  3. Administration of the Firm's Digital Asset Management platform and graphics assets, including Firm logos and original and stock photography
  4. Management of all attorney and employee photos, including:
    • managing relationships with photographers across the Firm's footprint
    • researching new photographers for new office locations and remote attorneys and professionals
    • maintaining the attorney and employee photo database
    • adapting photos to specifications needed for internal and external websites
    • uploading attorney photos for bios on the Firm's external website
  5. Ensuring all market-facing materials are consistent with the Firm's brand identity and with design best practices
  6. Overseeing the ordering of Firm stationery (business cards, letterhead, envelopes, note cards, etc.)

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED 

  1. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams
  3. Proficiency in Canva
  4. Proficiency in Canto or comparable digital asset management (DAM) platform
  5. Basic knowledge in Windows 11
  6. Excellent organizational and project management skills
  7. Superior attention to detail along with ability to multi-task and work within multiple deadlines
  8. Ability to communicate effectively and establish credibility with professionals at all levels of the Firm, including senior leadership

 EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

 Bachelor's degree in fields relating to graphic design and/or three to seven years of experience in a graphic design role.
