OVERVIEW: The Marketing Graphic Design Intern will be responsible for designing and producing a broad range of marketing materials, including, but not limited to: signs, banners, flyers, brochures, postcards, invitations, and booklets. A major focus of this role will be designing, printing, and physically producing medium - to large-format signage for placement within the museum. The Children’s Museum is fiercely devoted to our Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEAI) efforts. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops design concepts that effectively communicate the goals and objectives of each project. Projects will include signs, banners, flyers, brochures, postcards, invitations, booklets, etc. that support marketing campaigns for exhibits, events, special initiatives, and museum operations. Performs retouch and manipulation of photos and other graphical elements. Creates materials that are consistent with the museum’s brand standards and provides meticulous attention to detail to ensure excellence in design and continuity. Prepares and submits materials for client approval utilizing in-house computerized job tracking software (a.k.a. RoboHead). Manages multiple projects to meet timelines and intended objectives, all within quality standards and budget guidelines. Ensures that all assets are organized and that master electronic asset libraries are up-to-date for easy reference by other team members within the creative team. Collaborate with the in-house print center to ensure the quality of higher-volume prints like fliers and postcards. Produce medium- and large-format signage. This process includes operating an in-house large-format printer, accurately trimming prints to size by hand with a knife, mounting printed materials, and, when necessary, participating in the installation of work within the museum. REQUIREMENTS: Jr. or Sr. standing pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Graphics Art Management, or Digital Media. Strong physical production skills, specifically hand trimming with a knife and mounting medium-to-large-format prints. Intermediate (or better) experience designing in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. Adobe Photoshop experience is a plus. Must be able to work a consistent schedule on location at the museum within normal working hours (Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm). Overview

Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Communications, this position is responsible for assisting in the creation and effective execution of the overall multimedia and creative content strategy. The position will focus primarily on graphic design and photography, contributing to the department's visual storytelling and brand identity. Only candidates who submit a portfolio will be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities

Proven knowledge and ability to design graphics. Must be fully competent and experienced in Adobe Creative Suite.

Working knowledge of creative software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere.

Demonstrated proficiency in shooting and editing photography, with strong expertise in Adobe Lightroom.

Demonstrate a strong sense of creativity and an eye for design via examples in a submitted digital portfolio.

Possess the ability to balance multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Preferred Experience:
