As the Senior Manager, Commercial Deal Design, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing deal strategies across the Platform of Diagnostic companies. This position is focused on cross-functional collaboration, working closely with Operating Company (OpCo) deal teams to design, configure, and deliver high-impact proposals that support both customer needs and business objectives throughout North America. Collaborate closely with Pricing, Finance, and Contracts teams at both the Platform and OpCo levels during the Business Analysis process, providing expert support in preparation for customer proposal presentations, including financial and billing details. This position reports to the VP Commercial Excellence & Enablement and is part of the Diagnostics Solutions group and will be fully remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Strategic Deal Planning & Communication: Lead the coordination of information and strategy across the Platform and OpCo deal teams. Ensure clear, timely communication and foster strong relationships with stakeholders in sales, service, finance, pricing, and contracting. Provide regular updates on progress and proactively address deviations from plans. Customer-Centric Proposal Design: Apply your knowledge of diagnostic analyzers, consumables, and services to build tailored proposals. Leverage specialized pricing and configuration tools and business analysis, ensuring each deal aligns with customer strategy and platform objectives. Support negotiations and provide laboratory operations expertise to maximize deal success. Process Excellence: Master and streamline deal and pricing systems, ensuring all deal configurations precisely match customer requirements. Drive process simplification to enhance understanding and execution for all Platform and OpCo teams. Lab and Product Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of laboratory environments and solution portfolios across Diagnostics OpCos, positioning the right solutions for each opportunity. Teamwork and Collaboration: Actively contribute to team performance by collaborating and training across OpCo deal teams. Serve as a liaison, building trust and alignment between sales, service, marketing, finance, and contracting throughout the Diagnostics Platform. The essential requirements of the job include: 14 years with a Bachelors or 12 years with Masters. MBA or Advanced degree preferred. Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial finance, contracting, commercial operations and/or commercial marketing in clinical diagnostics (preferred) or healthcare industry. Deal & Proposal Systems Experience: Ability to use Salesforce.com, iQuotes, Excel, PowerBI and other systems that support the deal and proposal process. Technical Expertise and Analytical Skills: Mastery of pricing and deal processes, meticulous attention to detail in aligning deal configurations with customer requirements, and strong analytical capabilities to interpret business terms and support customized proposal creation. Understand Dx Operating Company solutions to "right size" and position them effectively. Cross-Functional Teamwork and Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in planning and communication, serving as a trusted liaison among sales, service, marketing, finance, and contracting teams to achieve shared goals and promote a collaborative team environment. This position will be involved in the planning and design of drainage elements for multimodal transportation projects for public and private clients. Projects will include hydraulic design and hydrologic analysis for roadways, side paths/multi-use paths, sidewalks, greenways, bicycle lanes, and other facilities. The ideal candidate will be able to perform hydrology, hydraulic design, permitting, and erosion control for transportation projects. Assist in advancing projects through feasibility analysis, to design, permitting, and successful bidding. Oversee design, technical analyses, and engineering calculations and prepare plans, submittal packages and permitting applications. Focus on quality project delivery through adherence to McAdams' quality assurance and quality control standards. Participate in business development activities including development of detailed proposal materials. Develop an understanding of key client's program and develop personal client relationships. Develop and maintain relationships with key teaming partners. Supervise and coach/mentor junior staff. Actively participate in professional organizations. Attend/present at industry conferences. As the Senior Manager, Commercial Deal Design, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing deal strategies across the Platform of Diagnostic companies. This position is focused on cross-functional collaboration, working closely with Operating Company (OpCo) deal teams to design, configure, and deliver high-impact proposals that support both customer needs and business objectives throughout North America. Collaborate closely with Pricing, Finance, and Contracts teams at both the Platform and OpCo levels during the Business Analysis process, providing expert support in preparation for customer proposal presentations, including financial and billing details.

This position reports to the VP Commercial Excellence & Enablement and is part of the Diagnostics Solutions group and will be fully remote.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Strategic Deal Planning & Communication: Lead the coordination of information and strategy across the Platform and OpCo deal teams. Ensure clear, timely communication and foster strong relationships with stakeholders in sales, service, finance, pricing, and contracting. Provide regular updates on progress and proactively address deviations from plans.
  • Customer-Centric Proposal Design: Apply your knowledge of diagnostic analyzers, consumables, and services to build tailored proposals. Leverage specialized pricing and configuration tools and business analysis, ensuring each deal aligns with customer strategy and platform objectives. Support negotiations and provide laboratory operations expertise to maximize deal success.
  • Process Excellence: Master and streamline deal and pricing systems, ensuring all deal configurations precisely match customer requirements. Drive process simplification to enhance understanding and execution for all Platform and OpCo teams.
  • Lab and Product Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of laboratory environments and solution portfolios across Diagnostics OpCos, positioning the right solutions for each opportunity.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Actively contribute to team performance by collaborating and training across OpCo deal teams. Serve as a liaison, building trust and alignment between sales, service, marketing, finance, and contracting throughout the Diagnostics Platform.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 14 years with a Bachelors or 12 years with Masters. MBA or Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial finance, contracting, commercial operations and/or commercial marketing in clinical diagnostics (preferred) or healthcare industry.
  • Deal & Proposal Systems Experience: Ability to use Salesforce.com, iQuotes, Excel, PowerBI and other systems that support the deal and proposal process.
  • Technical Expertise and Analytical Skills: Mastery of pricing and deal processes, meticulous attention to detail in aligning deal configurations with customer requirements, and strong analytical capabilities to interpret business terms and support customized proposal creation. Understand Dx Operating Company solutions to "right size" and position them effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Teamwork and Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in planning and communication, serving as a trusted liaison among sales, service, marketing, finance, and contracting teams to achieve shared goals and promote a collaborative team environment.
