If you are looking for hands-on, interactive, and autonomous work, CesiumAstro is the place for you. We are actively seeking passionate, collaborative, energetic, and forward-thinking individuals to join our team.

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join our growing Marketing Communications team. This is a key role for a well-rounded, detail-obsessed, highly creative, and technically curious designer who is excited to work at the intersection of space technology and storytelling.

As part of a small, collaborative team, you'll own the creation of compelling visual content across all brand and marketing touchpoints-from concept to execution. This includes everything from print collateral, digital campaigns, event signage, photo editing and social media graphics. You'll be responsible for upholding and evolving the CesiumAstro brand across mediums while working closely with the Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and business development.

This role is perfect for a designer who can think strategically, sweat the details, and deliver high-impact creative-whether it's a large-scale campaign or a quick-turn PowerPoint presentation. If you're passionate about design, tech, and the opportunity to shape how the world sees our work in space communications, we'd love to hear from you.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and produce a wide range of marketing and brand materials including digital ads, presentations, social media and event graphics, collateral, infographics, motion graphics, animations, and videos.
  • Translate complex aerospace and software concepts into accessible and visually compelling content.
  • Proactively contribute to creative ideas and design solutions that elevate the brand-focused on pushing visual storytelling to the next level rather than simply executing requests.

  • Highly skilled in Adobe Photoshop with the ability to create, edit, and optimize visual assets for a wide range of digital and print applications.
  • Expert-level skills in collateral design and literature production, including mastery of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy to create polished, on-brand materials such as brochures, technical data sheets, and sales enablement tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, with proven ability to design visually compelling, brand-consistent presentations; skilled in managing version control, tracking changes, and maintaining the most up-to-date and accurate files across teams and stakeholders.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership teams to ensure technical accuracy and visual clarity, while understanding what is safe and appropriate to share publicly.
  • Maintain and evolve CesiumAstro's brand identity across platforms and formats.
  • Contribute to video editing, 2D/3D animation, and rendering for product showcases and promotional content, a plus.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects independently -balancing long-term initiatives with short-deadline requests.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and excellence in everything you create-from file prep to final delivery.
  • Partner with external vendors (e.g., print shops, freelancers) when necessary to deliver assets at scale.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint with the ability to design visually compelling, on-brand presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Strong eye for layout, color, typography, and visual storytelling.
  • Comfortable owning the design process end-to-end-from concepting and feedback to production, to pricing, to file delivery.
  • Skilled at juggling multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Curious and self-motivated-eager to understand our technology and bring it to life visually.
  • Knowledge of visual content compliance and discretion around proprietary or sensitive information.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field preferred.

BONUS SKILLS

  • Experience working in a technical industry, particularly aerospace, engineering, or defense.
  • A working knowledge of motion/3D tools such as Cinema4D, Unreal Engine, or similar a plus.
  • Familiarity with generative tools like DALL·E or AI-enhanced design workflows.
  • Experience with Figma or web design tools.
  • Knowledge of basic HTML/CSS a plus.

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE

  • A designer who thrives in ambiguity, loves problem-solving, learning, thinking things through and from every angle while bringing proactive ideas to the table.
  • Someone who is equal parts creative, detail-oriented and easy going.
  • A strong team player with the confidence to own projects and the humility to collaborate and adapt.
  • A visual communicator who's excited about translating advanced tech into accessible, memorable design.
  • Someone who is just as happy building a brand campaign as they are polishing a last-minute PowerPoint deck.
  • A self-starter who can bring both fresh and strategic ideas-that will push the creative forward rather than simply taking orders.
  • If you're known for your creativity, strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and collaborative spirit-and you're always brimming with ideas-we want you on our team. Together, we'll work hard, have fun, and build something truly special.
