Job Description

Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D), which now includes Project Management Advisors (PMA),is seeking a Project Manager to support our Technology clients in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA.

The Opportunity

An opportunity for a driven project management professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys collaborating with clients and project teams, and is motivated to deliver complex real estate and infrastructure projects that support the future of technology and innovation.

At Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D), we lead the planning, development, and management of the places that shape and strengthen communities—where people live, learn, work, and innovate. B&D partners with institutions, municipalities, and organizations to deliver complex real estate and capital projects through strategic advisory and program management services across the full project lifecycle.

B&D recently joined forces with Project Management Advisors (PMA), bringing together two nationally recognized leaders in program management and real estate advisory services. Together, the combined firm offers expanded capabilities across industries and end-to-end project delivery—from early-stage strategy through design, construction, and occupancy.

Our Technology team supports clients through complex real estate initiatives, including workplace environments, mission-critical infrastructure, facilities improvements, and large-scale development projects. We partner with clients to deliver high-performing spaces that support innovation, operations, and future growth.

As a Project Manager, you will work directly with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and project teams to support planning, design, and construction activities for new buildings, tenant improvements, infrastructure projects, and facility assignments.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Serve as a key point of contact between clients and project teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage planning, design, and construction activities for technology-focused real estate and infrastructure projects
  • Support the development and execution of project-specific tasks to meet or exceed client expectations and contractual obligations
  • Review project requirements and program objectives to ensure alignment with client goals
  • Build strong partnerships with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders
  • Coordinate procurement of design, construction, and consultant services
  • Support contract development, review, negotiation, and administration for project-related agreements
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets, schedules, and project controls
  • Analyze project budgets and schedules and identify potential impacts to financial and operational objectives
  • Review architectural, engineering, and construction documents to support project execution
  • Facilitate project meetings, document discussions, and track action items to maintain accountability
  • Collaborate with clients and project teams to identify risks, resolve issues, and maintain project momentum
  • Support evaluation of potential changes to project scope, budget, and schedule
  • Participate in value engineering discussions and review project alternatives with clients and teams
  • Coordinate specialty consultants and peer reviews as needed
  • Support internal project resources, including Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers
  • Monitor construction activities and confirm alignment with design intent, contract requirements, schedules, and quality standards
  • Review and support processing of contracts, purchase orders, and progress payment applications
  • Observe and report on construction progress and project-related issues
  • Support successful project closeout and transition activities
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including networking, proposals, and client presentations

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in development, real estate, design, construction, or project management
  • Experience supporting complex technology, infrastructure, mission-critical, laboratory, or commercial projects is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects and consistently meet or exceed client expectations and deadlines
  • Strong understanding of design and construction processes, project controls, documentation, and sequencing
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and reporting tools
  • Ability to interpret architectural, engineering, and construction documentation
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
  • Experience supporting procurement, contracts, and consultant coordination
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

What Sets You Apart

  • You are a proactive self-starter who takes ownership of project outcomes
  • You bring strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to client and team interactions
  • You are highly organized and detail-oriented when managing project information, schedules, and budgets
  • You approach challenges with curiosity and a solution-oriented mindset
  • You are comfortable collaborating with technical teams and senior stakeholders
  • You demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment in all interactions
  • You are adaptable and thrive in complex, evolving project environments
  • You are motivated by delivering projects that support innovation and business growth
  • You enjoy building relationships and contributing to a collaborative team culture

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work with high-profile technology clients and complex real estate projects
  • A collaborative, values-driven culture focused on mentorship and professional growth
  • Exposure to all phases of the real estate and construction lifecycle
  • Competitive compensation and bonus structure
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance
  • Formal and informal training programs, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities
  • Education reimbursement and ongoing professional development support
  • 401(k) plan with employer match
  • A strong emphasis on work-life balance and long-term career development
