RMF Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineer for its growing Infrastructure Division in the Raleigh, NC Office.    

About the Civil/Structural Division:

The Civil/Structural Division provides engineering services for district energy utility distribution systems for University, Healthcare, and Government clients.  Designs include site development, thermal and power utilities, and complex phasing plans for projects that support campus expansions and sustainability projects.

Position Description:

  • Design construction document drawing sets for civil infrastructure and utility projects (including site plans, profiles, details, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, phasing plans, and traffic and pedestrian control).
  • Coordinate with other in-house civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
  • Meet with and coordinate design requirements with Owners and outside consultants with guidance from Project Manager.
  • Perform field work during design and site inspections during construction to verify progress and design compliance.
  • New hires will work directly with experienced PE’s and designers, and receive dedicated software, engineering, and design training.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
    • EIT required, PE preferred
    • Strong teamwork and communication skills
    • Understanding of basic civil engineering concepts with interest in mechanical and/or electrical infrastructure
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred, but not required)
