Summary of Essential Functions: Attend instructional class sessions once a week for the duration of the class or assists with discussion boards for asynchronous courses. Meets with students to discuss work outside of class as required. Provides quality feedback to students. Assists in managing breakout rooms and class discussions when applicable. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Work with the course instructor to satisfy lesson plan objectives for the duration of the course. Attend live lectures for students in class and provide input when necessary. Maintain communication with students, delivering a reply within 24 hours of receipt of communication. Provide qualitative academic assessments to students, including feedback to the faculty instructor as it pertains to students' overall progress. Commitment of approximately 10-12 hours per week for the duration of the 8 week course. Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of program and UXD course subject matter. Ability to utilize a number of online instructional methods and software, including Canvas, Zoom, and others as necessary. Proficiency in data analytics and visualization programs such as R, Tableau, Excel, Python, Adobe Illustrator, and others as necessary. Primary Responsibilities Review of signing, pavement marking and signalization plans for FDOT transportation projects, including RRR, partial reconstruction and total reconstruction projects through the FDOT D6 ERC System Review of different types of permits including but not limited to, access, construction, general use, etc. through the FDOT D6 OSP System Perform QC reviews for roadway projects developed by FDOT D6 internal designers Perform complex traffic engineering projects, exercise sound engineering judgment, preparation of traffic signal plans, traffic impact analysis reports and PS and E documents Make decisions on design and engineering procedures as needed Function as a technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects May supervise small staff of professionals and technicians as needed Perform other duties as needed #LI-KJ1 Preferred Qualifications A minimum of 5 years' post-registration experience with traffic analysis and traffic engineering/design FDOT D6 and Miami-Dade County design experience FDOT D6 signalization certification Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree Experience with traffic analysis and traffic engineering/design Professional Engineer (PE) license Detailed hands on experience conducting traffic design using CAD platforms including MicroStation, Autocad and Guide Sign software Detailed hands on experience conducting operational analysis using a variety of analysis and modeling tools specific to support job duties, including HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, and Aimsun Detailed hands on experience conducting safety analysis using a variety of safety software tools including Highway Safety Software Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word Strong verbal and written skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company. General purpose: To provide instruction for online graduate students and to convey knowledge of multiple elements of User Experience Design from a professional perspective.

Summary of Essential Functions:

  • Attend instructional class sessions once a week for the duration of the class or assists with discussion boards for asynchronous courses.

  • Meets with students to discuss work outside of class as required.

  • Provides quality feedback to students.

  • Assists in managing breakout rooms and class discussions when applicable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with the course instructor to satisfy lesson plan objectives for the duration of the course.

  • Attend live lectures for students in class and provide input when necessary.

  • Maintain communication with students, delivering a reply within 24 hours of receipt of communication.

  • Provide qualitative academic assessments to students, including feedback to the faculty instructor as it pertains to students' overall progress.

  • Commitment of approximately 10-12 hours per week for the duration of the 8 week course.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of program and UXD course subject matter.

  • Ability to utilize a number of online instructional methods and software, including Canvas, Zoom, and others as necessary.

  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualization programs such as R, Tableau, Excel, Python, Adobe Illustrator, and others as necessary.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field plus proven/relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field plus proven/relevant experience

  • Passing of a satisfactory background check
