Position Overview:
The Director, U.S. Public Sector is responsible for leading strategic sales and business development efforts within the federal, state, and local government segments. This role requires a strong understanding of government procurement processes, Government contracts and regulatory environments, and the ability to position the company's solutions as mission-critical assets to public agencies.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader with experience navigating complex government ecosystems, closing high-value deals, and fostering strong client and partner relationships within the public sector.

This role requires up to 50% travel
- Strategic Leadership & Market Development
- Lead and grow business within the U.S. public sector, including federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies tailored to the unique needs and procurement models of public sector clients.
- Identify growth opportunities through direct sales, RFPs, RFIs, GWACs, and other contract vehicles.
- Sales Execution & Revenue Growth
- Manage the full sales lifecycle from pipeline generation through contract execution.
- Drive revenue growth by securing new logos and expanding business within existing government accounts.
- Lead a team of account executives and capture managers to meet and exceed performance targets.
- Client and Partner Relationship Management
- Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with senior government decision-makers and influencers.
- Have Partner relationships with the partner public sector organizations
- Understand agency missions and align company offerings to support critical outcomes.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through strategic engagement and support.
- Compliance & Government Regulations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to contracts, proposals, and reporting requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Product, Legal, Contracts, Marketing, and Delivery teams to ensure government requirements are met.
- Partner with proposal teams to develop compliant and compelling responses to RFPs and RFIs.
- Engage with channel and technology partners to expand reach and capability.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (MBA or MPA a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in public sector sales, public sector sales management, business development, and government contracting.
- Proven success in closing large, complex deals within government markets.
- Deep knowledge of government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $120,000-$150,000 + bonus
