The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, industry experience, and the ability to lead an accounting team in a fast-paced environment.Why join us?Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Annual performance bonus.Health, dental, vision, 401(k), and other benefits.Opportunity for career growth within a stable and expanding company.Job DetailsKey ResponsibilitiesOversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.Lead and mentor accounting staff, including AP/AR, GL accountants, and payroll as needed.Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements specific to the oil and gas industry.Manage revenue accounting, joint interest billing (JIB), AFEs, depletion, and lease operating expenses (LOE).Coordinate external audits and act as the primary liaison with auditors.Develop and implement internal controls to strengthen financial processes.Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.Collaborate with operations and leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decisions.QualificationsActive CPA license required.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s preferred.5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.Oil & Gas accounting experience strongly preferred, including upstream operations, revenue accounting, JIB, and production accounting.Strong working knowledge of GAAP.Experience with oil & gas accounting systems (e.g., WolfePak, Enertia, Quorum, or similar).Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.Interested in hearing more?
