Job Summary: The Graphic Design Specialist will be responsible for creating and coordinating graphics across all of the corporate departments and business units including, but not limited to, advertising graphics for our recruiters and to industry groups, fleet decals, road and building signs for our facilities team, terminal, shop and tank wash materials, posters, flyers and promotional assets for marketing campaigns, and social media graphics with a consistent brand image across multiple channels. Tasks include developing external and internal materials to target, attract, recruit and retain employees, independent contractors, customers, vendors and other business partners through multiple touchpoints at the headquarter, terminal, shop and other business operations such as our fleet, LND programs, community programs etc. Essential Functions: Develop and maintain graphic design task list, including due dates, status and deliverables. Create company and business unit branded materials in line with the corporate brand strategy. Develop and execute brand applications including, but not limited to, merchandise, uniforms, contests, promotional items, swag, internal and external website design and banners, career site design, sales materials and marketing programs. Develop graphics to enhance and support all communication channels. Work and communicate effectively with internal and external parties, including vendors, to ensure projects are prioritized appropriately, coordinate product selection and designs with vendor and internal clients, and ensure materials/designs are approved promptly and delivered on time. Required Skills/Abilities: Requires 3+ years of graphic design experience. High degree of creativity with an intermediate skill level in digital design. Knowledge of digital marketing, social media engagement strategies, campaign creation, video and photo editing measurement and reporting. Analytical and critical thinking mindset for project management, scheduling and overall coordination of tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in all MS Office, Google Suite, Adobe Illustrator Suite applications. Occasional travel may be required. Shell buckling and/or compressive failure critical structural element design. Material selection, compatibility, and manufacturing techniques. Iso/Ortho grid structure design. Strong mechanical design and integration skills using 3D CAD software. Experience with GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5). The Margaret and Loyal Wilson Chief Exhibition, Design, and Publications Officer is a key member of the museum’s executive leadership team who oversees exhibition management, design and architecture, and curatorial publications. The incumbent will partner and collaborate with the Deputy Director and Chief Curator, Chief Digital Information Officer, Chief Learning Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and other appropriate staff and departments to implement the museum’s exhibition program. Position : The Margaret and Loyal Wilson Chief Exhibition, Design, and Publications officer is a strategic and collaborative leader who both develops and realizes the museum’s renowned and ambitious exhibition program, also overseeing the museum’s departments of design and architecture and publications, overseeing a combined total of up to 25 staff members and an annual operating budget totaling $2.6 million. The budget for special exhibitions totals approximately $5 million annually, depending on the works being exhibited. The work of the incumbent involves close collaboration with the museum’s staff in the areas of curatorial, conservation, public and academic engagement, preparation, registration, operations, communications, and administration. The CMA presents between 13 and 17 special exhibitions annually, staging temporary exhibitions that draw from its permanent collection as well as showcasing both national and international loan-based exhibitions. Responsibilities: Assure effective management of staff within the Exhibitions, Design, and Publications departments, including organizational planning and development, hiring, employment, training, communication, compensation planning, and performance evaluation to attract, retain, and reward outstanding individuals capable of supporting the overall mission of the museum; promote personal, professional, and growth opportunities for all employees. Foster partnerships and transparency among all team members to ensure that excellence and creativity in scholarship and interpretation, design, and display in exhibitions are supported through disciplined budget development, oversight, and systematic planning. Requirements and Qualifications The Chief Exhibition, Design, and Publications Officer will be a leader in the museum field with proven experience in developing and managing a world class exhibitions program. Job Summary: 

The Graphic Design Specialist will be responsible for creating and coordinating graphics across all of the corporate departments and business units including, but not limited to, advertising graphics for our recruiters and to industry groups, fleet decals, road and building signs for our facilities team, terminal, shop and tank wash materials, posters, flyers and promotional assets for marketing campaigns, and social media graphics with a consistent brand image across multiple channels.   • Knowledge of digital marketing, social media engagement strategies, campaign creation, video and photo editing measurement and reporting.
  • Analytical and critical thinking mindset for project management, scheduling and overall coordination of tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in all MS Office, Google Suite, Adobe Illustrator Suite applications.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
  • Video Photography Experience: 3+ years
  • Graphic Software: 3+ years

 

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office and computer equipment.
