Position Summary: The Design/Product Engineer will design and develop new products as well as maintain and improve current products from a design standpoint based on customer feedback and sales requirements. About The Role The Staff Thermal Design Engineer is responsible for assisting in the development of key thermal components & systems from concept to engineering release of new products. The Sr. Staff Thermal engineer plays an active role in developing thermal components using 3D CAD software and advanced engineering analysis. A candidate for this role will be responsible for owning thermal design and optimization for new hardware and evaluating thermal technology. The involved system design across compute and storage devices, evaluating and advancing current and emerging thermal technologies, from liquid cooling to thermal critical components, and optimizing the hardware for high performing, efficient data center operation. The engineer will be responsible for solving heat transfer problems occurring in complex subcomponents or full hardware systems, using comprehensive thermal design fundamentals and analytical tools. The ideal candidate would have the ability to work with other function teams in ZT and vendors to strength their knowledge base. Position Summary: The Senior Principal Scientist, Analytical Chemistry, will join a diverse team of analytical chemists, organic chemists, pharmaceutical scientists, and engineers to deliver product and process insights for synthetic peptide and oligonucleotide programs. Engaging with scientists across Lilly's R&D, quality, and manufacturing organizations, this individual will be tasked with developing and implementing robust analytical methods and control strategies to enable clinical trial material delivery and build process understanding. Responsibilities: Collaborate with project teams to develop robust control strategies for drug substances and drug products, enable clinical programs, and author regulatory submissions. Position Summary:

The Design/Product Engineer will design and develop new products as well as maintain and improve current products from a design standpoint based on customer feedback and sales requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new products, from 3D modeling to drawing creation and production implementation
  • Support design for manufacturability and collaborate with production teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing
  • Conduct engineering simulations and basic analysis to validate product performance
  • Apply sound engineering knowledge with aesthetics to design products which look as good as they function
  • Provide directions to factory and suppliers on production processes and facilitate product problem resolution when necessary
  • Partner with the plant development team to meet project timing and cost targets
  • Work with production teams to review drawings, documents, and CAD models for development projects
  • Meet as required with Sales, Marketing, Production, Quality and other departments to communicate project status and solicit feedback
  • Ensure completeness of production qualification, including testing and manufacturing capability verification
  • Carry out physical testing of parts, both in the field and in the test lab
  • Design and carry out design changes and modifications to new and existing parts, jigs, fixtures and tools as required
  • Work with manufacturing team on vendor sourcing, selecting, and contract negotiations
  • Carry out design for manufacturability of parts and components

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
  • At least five years of experience in product development and detailed part/system design
  • Ability to take a product from concept to detailed design and into production
  • Knowledge of a variety of engineering tools such as FEA, FMEA, and Lean practices
  • Knowledge of a variety of materials and manufacturing processes
  • Strong technical bicycle drivetrain knowledge including mechanical aptitude in building and troubleshooting bicycles and components
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Must be able to read and evaluate mechanical drawings and technical specifications
