Job Description The UI developer will be creating a new User Interface for a document management system, using Angular, JavaScript, .NET, and other UI development tools. The application is used in a large Federal agency to search a large data repository for information. Responsibilities The developer must be able to create a compelling, user-friendly workflow that leads the users through defined process steps. The developer will collaborate with the rest of the development team to ensure data is validated and presented correctly through APIs and database calls as required. The custom UI will support document management processes created in an Alfresco services environment. Work with entire development team to validate requirements, design interfaces, data and work flows through the application lifecycle. Create user screens, data validations, and interfaces to back-end processes. Use standard code management tools including Git, as well as Agile software development processes. Work with requirements analyst and UX designer to create screen mockups or wireframes; translate wireframes to code artifacts. Education and Experience Minimum 5 years' experience is required BS, Computer Science or related discipline Requirements: U.S Citizenship is required. Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance. This position is remote but may require occasionally onsite presence at our McLean Office. Flexible work from home options available. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   Translate business goals and user needs into strategic product opportunities, and incorporate stakeholder and user feedback.   Interpret and distill complex strategies and requirements, and visually depict the ideal user experience through information architecture, diagrammatic flows, and varying fidelities of wireframes.   Express behaviors, interactions, movements, and materials through interactive, high-fidelity prototypes of key concepts using Figma and other prototyping platforms of choice.   Facilitate design working sessions to explore concept innovation and drive original thinking.   Create, grow, and maintain scalable libraries of components, modules, wireframes, templates, and prototypes that can be deployed across the multi-device product suite.   Write dev-ready annotations and functional requirements documentation throughout the design process.   Integrate accessibility best practices throughout the design process, ensuring the design system meets accessibility requirements to make our products accessible to all.   Build collaborative relationships with strategy, business analyst, product management, engineering, and project management partners throughout the product process.   Shape, facilitate, and analyze design research to inform user needs and product requirements.   Deliver compelling presentations to executive leadership and business stakeholders, effectively communicating the value and impact of design. SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES Required   Proficiency in software and tools including Figma, Adobe CC, Google Workspace, Airtable,prototyping tools, Jira, and others.   A deep understanding of how a design language applies across mediums and devices to ensure brand, visual, and interaction cohesion across products, experiences, and marketing materials.   An innate curiosity and enthusiasm to learn, keeping abreast of industry trends and discipline innovation.   Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.   An ability to work quickly and efficiently when ideating, actioning feedback, and producing final deliverables.   Keen attention to detail and pursuit of aesthetic excellence.   Strategic systems-thinking with the ability to go beyond the pixels and design. Strong communication skills when collaborating with partners and stakeholders. Proven ability to work proactively and autonomously. Able to work on multiple design projects across the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and managing time effectively to deliver high-quality outcomes. Able to continuously learn about technology that underpins our business-critical products. NICE TO HAVE Experience designing enterprise, SaaS, and/or AI-focused products. Familiarity with Salesforce’s Lightning Design System. Brand and visual design capabilities beyond product. Animation and video editing skills. Job Description

The UI developer will be creating a new User Interface for a document management system, using Angular, JavaScript, .NET, and other UI development tools. The application is used in a large Federal agency to search a large data repository for information.

Responsibilities

  • The developer must be able to create a compelling, user-friendly workflow that leads the users through defined process steps.

  • The developer will collaborate with the rest of the development team to ensure data is validated and presented correctly through APIs and database calls as required.

  • The custom UI will support document management processes created in an Alfresco services environment.

  • Work with entire development team to validate requirements, design interfaces, data and work flows through the application lifecycle.

  • Create user screens, data validations, and interfaces to back-end processes.

  • Use standard code management tools including Git, as well as Agile software development processes.

  • Work with requirements analyst and UX designer to create screen mockups or wireframes; translate wireframes to code artifacts.
Education and Experience


  • Minimum 5 years' experience is required

  • BS, Computer Science or related discipline

Requirements:


  • U.S Citizenship is required.

  • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

  • This position is remote but may require occasionally onsite presence at our McLean Office.

Flexible work from home options available.

Compensation: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
