Product Design And Development - Pattern Engineer 3

Artech LLCBeaverton, OR
Introduction Join our dynamic team as a Pattern Engineer 3, where you'll play a vital role in the design and development of women’s athletic wear. This position involves creating and adjusting technical clothing patterns to ensure optimal fit and performance. Your expertise will support our Women’s Golf and tennis lines, contributing to our brand's reputation for excellence. Additional Clarification: We need someone who can build a technical clothing pattern based off of a designer's sketch. They are closer to a seamstress than a creative designer. They are creating a pattern as in the technical drawings and measurements of how a garment is constructed and fitted. This role is the person who designs that technical pattern and assesses the fit of the garment. This role is NOT a graphic designer, color designer, product designer, or marketing related person. They are constructing garments and writing technical documents that are used to create the clothing item. Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Designer in pattern making or adjusting patterns, particularly for women’s athletic wear. Ability to create patterns from scratch or modify existing ones. Knowledge of garment construction, with a preference for experience with knits. Our goal is to prepare students for the demands of tomorrow's economy, providing them with the opportunity for a choice-filled life.

About the 3DE Learning Institute

The 3DE Learning Institute designs and delivers high-impact adult learning experiences that build educator and system capacity for competency-based, real-world, case-driven instruction. • Build assessment and reflection tools that capture learning and transfer without creating unnecessary burden.
  • Asynchronous Modules & Digital Learning
    • Establish a consistent structure for asynchronous modules (narrative arc, micro-practice, checks for understanding, artifacts).
    • Partner with the async module writer on storyboards, interactivity decisions, and evaluation plans.
    • Ensure modules are accessible, inclusive, and aligned to institute standards.
  • Facilitation Enablement
    • Co-design facilitator guides, run-of-show documents, and participant experiences that are intuitive and repeatable.
    • Support facilitation readiness (protocols, timing, discussion sequences, practice structures).
    • Occasionally, co-facilitate or observe sessions to calibrate design quality and learner experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with the team to ensure design timelines, resource needs, and production milestones are realistic and met.
    • Collaborate with Teacher Development leadership to align learning design to certification requirements and teacher journey milestones.
    • Work with resource development and graphic design supports to create materials that are clean, consistent, and instructionally purposeful.
