As the Division Lead for Transportation (Aviation & Roadway), you will oversee all transportation engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with the Director of Engineering Services and lead a team of engineers to achieve project goals and client satisfaction.
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of transportation projects, including aviation and roadway.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project success.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and support staff.
- Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and strategies for team development.
Technical Oversight
- Provide technical guidance and expertise in transportation engineering.
- Review and approve project designs and documentation.
- Ensure QA/QC processes are followed and projects meet quality standards.
Strategic Planning
- Contribute to the development of the division’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with the Director of Engineering Services on resource planning and project prioritization.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Alabama.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in transportation engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing and delivering transportation projects.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and standards.

Compensation: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
