Role Overview

We seek a talented UX/UI Designer to contribute to the design of a new social application. Working closely with our engineering team, you'll help create interface designs for a platform that challenges conventional social media paradigms. This role offers an opportunity to learn and grow while working on breakthrough user experiences that have never been attempted at scale.

What You'll Do

UX/UI Design Contribution

  • Contribute to UX/UI development for gamified social applications across web and mobile platforms

  • Support the development and maintenance of design systems under guidance from senior team members

  • Help implement design vision that transcends conventional social media patterns

Product Design & Learning

  • Assist in defining interaction models for social applications with integrated game mechanics

  • Support the creation of information architectures for engaging, multi-platform social experiences

  • Learn to design novel approaches to user engagement, progression, and community building

  • Balance sophisticated gamification concepts with authentic social interaction under mentorship

Implementation & Collaboration

  • Create production-ready designs within our lean agile development cycles

  • Work collaboratively with engineering and senior design team members

  • Learn to balance experimental vision with technical constraints and user needs

  • Participate in user research and contribute to data-driven design decisions

Requirements

Professional Foundation

  • 3+ years UX/UI design experience with shipped digital products

  • Portfolio demonstrating strong interface design skills and design thinking

  • Experience with at least one successful product launch or major feature release

  • Understanding of design systems and component-based design

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in professional design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)

  • Understanding of front-end development and mobile-first design principles

  • Familiarity with user research methodologies and usability testing

  • Experience collaborating with developers in agile environments

Relevant Experience (Preferred)

  • Interest in or experience with social platform design, game UX, or digital community experiences

  • Understanding of user engagement, gamification principles, or community dynamics

  • Experience with modern interface patterns and responsive design

  • Interest in experimental or unconventional design approaches

Personal Qualities

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new design challenges

  • Strong communication skills and openness to feedback

  • Self-motivated with ability to manage tasks independently

  • Curiosity about innovative approaches to product design and social interaction
