Design complex systems that integrate mechanical design, electrical controls hardware, programming and software to develop complete solutions for customers. Provide estimates for complex mechanical scope to other solution development resources and teams. Request proposals for non-Dematic equipment and installation through various vendors. What We Are Looking For: BS/BA in related engineering discipline or advanced degree but may be substituted with experience. Certification may be required in some areas. Demonstrate and apply a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments. Successfully apply complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization to provide mechanical estimates. Demonstrate knowledge of organization's business practices and issues. Material Handling Equipment background with a focus on Case conveyor and Sorters along with the ability to concept solutions and generate estimates to support Sales requests. Explain with written correspondence and discuss complex, unusual problems to other team members to provide proper solutions for customer requests. Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Project, etc.), 6-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering. Experience in designing and commissioning of automated material handling systems, including mechanical design, concepting and creating layouts. As a Design Associate, you will contribute to developing proprietary implants, instrumentation, and design automation systems to enable personalized surgery.   • Design complex systems that integrate mechanical design, electrical controls hardware, programming and software to develop complete solutions for customers.
  • Read and comprehend drawings and bills of materials.
  • Recommend site productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvements to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Provide estimates for complex mechanical scope to other solution development resources and teams.
  • Perform complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design.
  • Perform full range of standard work for the professional field.
  • Request proposals for non-Dematic equipment and installation through various vendors.

What We Are Looking For:

  • BS/BA in related engineering discipline or advanced degree but may be substituted with experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
  • Demonstrate and apply a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments.
  • Successfully apply complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization to provide mechanical estimates.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.
  • Material Handling Equipment background with a focus on Case conveyor and Sorters along with the ability to concept solutions and generate estimates to support Sales requests.
  • Explain with written correspondence and discuss complex, unusual problems to other team members to provide proper solutions for customer requests.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Project, etc.),
  • 6-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in designing and commissioning of automated material handling systems, including mechanical design, concepting and creating layouts.
  • Proficiency with System Design Application Software (MAESTRO) and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Dematic equipment is a plus.
