Conduct mechanical design work to assure design integrity of chillers under multiple product development projects. Produce designs and documentation utilizing computer design and product life cycle management systems. Working knowledge and experience in assigned areas; change control, bill of material, product definition & selection, machine design, castings, fabrication, sheet metal, GD&T and tolerance analysis, electrical, electronics, heat transfer, piping and welding. Working directly in the materials engineering group, this position will primarily support manufacturing and development of SpaceX’s Starlink product components alongside a strong group of mechanical and process engineers. The goal of the team is to develop new manufacturing methods, commission equipment and qualify processes to be introduced into production. The salary range for this position is: $73,500 - $244,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
