Acquisition.com logo

Director of Art & Design

Acquisition.comLas Vegas, Nevada

$145,000 - $175,000 / year

About ACQ Media: ACQ Media is the in-house media engine behind Acquisition.com and its portfolio of brands led by Alex Hormozi, Leila Hormozi, and Sharran Srivatsaa. Our mission is to build the leading business media organization in the world by 2030. We produce high-performance long-form series, podcasts, and daily social content that reach millions of people around the globe. Our content is not vanity media, it is designed to drive measurable reach, deepen brand influence, and create downstream business impact across the entire Acquisition.com ecosystem. We operate like a studio, not a startup content team. That means structured workflows, batch production, clear performance metrics, and an aggressive commitment to innovation, especially through AI-native production systems. We are building a repeatable content machine that compounds: more output, higher quality, faster iteration, stronger monetization, and deeper brand equity over time. If you’re joining ACQ Media, you’re not here to just make content. You’re here to help build a media powerhouse. Role: The Director of Art & Design is the senior leader responsible for building and operating the creative design engine across ACQ Media and, over time, the broader company. This role owns all design output tied to content performance: thumbnails, branding systems, motion graphics, in-episode graphics, pitch decks, title treatments, set visual identity, and any visual assets that materially impact click-through rate, retention, and brand perception. This is not a “graphic design manager.” This is a creative systems leader who builds a scalable design department that can service multiple brands at once while maintaining high creative standards and fast delivery timelines. This role must also be AI-native. The design team should leverage AI to increase speed, expand creative range, and reduce production time - without compromising taste, polish, or brand consistency. The expectation is not to “use AI sometimes.” The expectation is to build a department that competes unfairly because it uses AI better than anyone else. Reports directly to the Chief Media Officer and must be in Las Vegas, NV or willing to relocate. Responsibilities: Design Department Leadership & Team Management Lead the Art & Design department across all Acquisition.com brands Manage designers, motion designers, thumbnail designers, and future creative specialists Set design standards, review processes, creative benchmarks, and performance expectations Build a culture of speed, iteration, and excellence without creative ego or bottlenecks Thumbnail & Performance-Driven Design Own thumbnail strategy and output across Alex, Leila, and Sharran’s YouTube ecosystems Build repeatable systems for testing, iterating, and improving CTR through design Create brand-specific thumbnail rulesets while maintaining scalability across the department Collaborate with creative producers and marketing to align packaging with video performance goals Brand Identity & Visual Systems Build scalable visual identity systems for each brand that apply across long-form, social, and marketing assets Ensure all assets feel cohesive, premium, and aligned with Acquisition.com positioning Maintain and evolve style guides, design libraries, templates, and brand assets Create systems that allow design output to increase without reinventing the wheel every time Graphics, Motion, and In-Episode Design Own creation and delivery of in-episode graphics, lower thirds, overlays, title sequences, and motion packages Build reusable motion systems that can be deployed across multiple shows and formats Ensure design output improves storytelling and clarity, not just aesthetics Create fast-turn systems for social graphics and promotional assets tied to episode launches AI Integration & Creative Automation Identify, test, and implement AI tools that increase speed of design production and iteration Partner with Tech team to build AI-assisted workflows for thumbnails, visual concepting, image generation, background design, mockups, and graphics Create internal AI playbooks and expectations for how the design team operates Ensure AI output meets brand quality standards and does not create sloppy or generic visuals Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with post-production and content teams to ensure design integrates cleanly into editing workflows Collaborate with marketing team to align ad creative, funnels, and visual messaging with content assets Build a shared service model where design becomes a reliable internal resource across all ACQ business units rather than an external bottleneck Reducing Vendor Reliance Transition key design functions from external vendors to internal team execution Ensure internal team can deliver higher quality work faster than vendors Maintain clear tracking of what work is still outsourced, why, and when it gets brought in-house Requirements: 7+ years of experience in design leadership, creative direction, or high-output digital media environments Proven experience managing a team of designers across multiple deliverables and deadlines Strong understanding of YouTube packaging, thumbnail psychology, and performance-driven creative High taste level with the ability to create premium visuals that still optimize for clicks Experience with motion graphics and post-adjacent workflows is strongly preferred Comfortable building systems, templates, and scalable workflows (not just designing assets) Deep familiarity with AI tools in creative design OR demonstrated obsession with learning and implementing them Ability to move fast, iterate constantly, and maintain quality at high volume Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate across post, production, content, and marketing Results: Thumbnails improve CTR and packaging consistency across all brands Design output becomes faster, cleaner, and more scalable quarter over quarter AI becomes embedded in the department’s workflows, materially increasing production speed and creative range External design vendor reliance decreases to 0% while quality across all brands increases Brand identity becomes more cohesive across long-form, social, and marketing assets Motion and graphics packages become repeatable systems rather than one-off builds Content launches are consistently supported with strong promotional and visual assets without last-minute scrambling Location: Las Vegas, NV (Onsite) Support for relocation to Las Vegas may be provided Some light travel may be required Compensation: $145,000-$175,000 base salary + bonus The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills, and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below). Benefits: We offer a comprehensive, evolving benefits package designed to support your health, family, and wellbeing.
