Job Description/Preferred Qualifications As a mechanical design engineer specializing in multi axis motion systems for wafer scanning with nanometers level vibration and accuracy, you will be at the forefront of creating fast, precise, reliable, and efficient electro-mechanical systems! Collaborate with multi-functional team such as, controls engineers, systems engineers, and manufacturing engineers to develop concept, details, and iterate on design to optimize performance Present design reviews, procure prototypes, & work with vendors for various parts, assemblies, motors, bearings, etc. Design parts, assemblies using Creo/SolidWorks and generate drawings with GD&T for high performance wafer positioning/motion stages, wafer chucks, and related tooling Perform analysis and simulations, such as structural, thermal, vibration/modal FEAs to optimize components/assemblies for stiffness, damping, accuracy, and manufacturability Must have: Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field with experience in motion systems, precision mechanics, or mechatronics Proficient in Creo/SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD modeling tools with several years of work experience and in structural, thermal, and vibration/modal FEA DFM experience with machining, sheet metals, and castings; knowledge of data analysis tools such as Python or MATLAB Nice to have: Experience with feedback systems involving high resolution optical encoders/laser interferometers, linear motors, linear guides, air bearings, etc. Design experience of dynamic X,Y sub-micron positioning stages; vibration and modal testing using accelerometers, impact hammer, etc. Semiconductor capital equipment design experience Vibration isolation system, motion control, Simulink, PID servo tuning Minimum Qualifications PhD Degree with 0 years related work experience; Master's degree with at least three years' experience; Bachelor's degree with at least five years' experience Base Pay Range: $114,100.00 - $194,000.00 Annually Primary Location:USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA KLA's total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave. We are seeking a Design Coordinator to support projects, proactively partner with Design Managers and other members of the project team to provide Design Coordination support on projects from start to finish. Detailed Description: Assist project managers, design managers, and project analysts with design related project kick-off activities, including but not limited to, development of a work breakdown structure, project management plan, project schedule, and identification of key project success metrics. Coordinate production of digital and/or hardcopy design submittals for client review. Production and oversight of specifications, including formatting, tracking, and cross-referencing. Create and maintain master specification lists, action item lists, consolidated comment logs, decision logs, and other design-related lists/logs as needed. Partner with design managers to ensure that all design submittals meet the internal performance requirements of the project QA/QC plan, and maintain documentation of QA/QC (approvals, markups, etc.). Setup workflows and review sessions through Bluebeam Studio. Create and manage internal project design and deliverable schedules. Maintain internal and external project collaboration sites to ensure continuous communication and document management across the project team, including internal team members, the client, and subconsultants. Coordinate and complete construction administration tasks including preparing addenda and conformed documents of the technical specifications. Track, log and distribute contractor submittals, RFIs, WCD and Change Orders for internal review and client review. Assist with daily local project and national design needs, as assigned by the design manager, project manager, design coordinator lead, and technical staff. Work closely with the design managers to lead the design team coordination and communication. Build relationships with design managers and team members; proactively identify work assignments that need to be completed. Desired Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar work experiences. Minimum two years' experience in a professional office setting required; experience in project coordination and construction specification standards (EJCDC) in the A&E and construction industry preferred. Candidate should be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Power Point, Project, SharePoint, Bluebeam and ProjectWise skills are a plus. Candidate should be able to anticipate project needs and have the ability to identify work assignments independently. Candidate should be comfortable working directly with senior managers and technical staff. Good communication skills (written and verbal) are essential. Successful candidate will be proactive and self-motivated. Ability to multi-task and prioritize required. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment required. Job Description: About the Role: Nextracker is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team to design the next generation of Nextracker products. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing next-generation products, from concept to manufacturing. What You Will Do: Lead mechanical product design, prototyping, and testing of power electronics enclosures and support systems. Work closely with cross functional teams and external partners to ensure project goals and schedules are met. Develop comprehensive test plans, build test apparatus and validate design performance. Create documentation suitable for prototyping, design and production stages. Conduct in-depth analyses, including FEA (static, dynamic, thermal), CFD, and tolerance analysis, to optimize designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Present design reviews and technical reports to internal stakeholders and management. Investigate and resolve field failures or product performance issues. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; 10+ years of proven experience in mechanical design and product development, with a strong track record of successful product launches. Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks and EPDM, including advanced modeling, surfacing, and simulation capabilities. Extensive experience with FEA software (Ansys) and a deep understanding of structural mechanics and heat transfer. Thorough understanding of GD&T principles and their application in design and manufacturing. Strong knowledge of various manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting, injection molding, and additive manufacturing. Demonstrated experience with DFM/DFA principles and their practical application. Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

As a mechanical design engineer specializing in multi axis motion systems for wafer scanning with nanometers level vibration and accuracy, you will be at the forefront of creating fast, precise, reliable, and efficient electro-mechanical systems!

  • Collaborate with multi-functional team such as, controls engineers, systems engineers, and manufacturing engineers to develop concept, details, and iterate on design to optimize performance

  • Present design reviews, procure prototypes, & work with vendors for various parts, assemblies, motors, bearings, etc.

  • Design parts, assemblies using Creo/SolidWorks and generate drawings with GD&T for high performance wafer positioning/motion stages, wafer chucks, and related tooling

  • Perform analysis and simulations, such as structural, thermal, vibration/modal FEAs to optimize components/assemblies for stiffness, damping, accuracy, and manufacturability

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field with experience in motion systems, precision mechanics, or mechatronics

  • Proficient in Creo/SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD modeling tools with several years of work experience and in structural, thermal, and vibration/modal FEA

  • DFM experience with machining, sheet metals, and castings; knowledge of data analysis tools such as Python or MATLAB

Nice to have:

  • Experience with feedback systems involving high resolution optical encoders/laser interferometers, linear motors, linear guides, air bearings, etc.

  • Design experience of dynamic X,Y sub-micron positioning stages; vibration and modal testing using accelerometers, impact hammer, etc.

  • Semiconductor capital equipment design experience

  • Vibration isolation system, motion control, Simulink, PID servo tuning
