Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

The role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on addressing two of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space infrastructure and increasing mobility on-orbit.

As part of a hardworking team of engineering professionals, you will design, analyze, and test avionics enclosures for electronic components on various spacecrafts. This opportunity reports to the Spacecraft Avionics section inside of the Space Mobility business unit.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to function in a cross disciplinary team and a multifaceted design environment. Collaboration with the electrical engineering team to create robust printed circuit board systems will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will perform thermal and structural analyses of these designs, produce engineering drawings, and oversee the product configuration management throughout the product lifecycle. Finally, you will manage the testing and qualification process for the product, ensuring it meets all necessary standards and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electro-mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Skills in thermal and structural analysis of avionics enclosures and PCBA components.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication of analysis results.
  • Capability to earn trust and maintain positive, professional relationships.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
