The role deepens turbomachinery expertise while adhering to established engineering policies and procedures, and it requires strong collaboration and mentorship, clear documentation of technical results, and effective presentation to internal and external stakeholders through technical and program reviews. The engineer is expected to promote open communication, share engineering information, and provide timely updates on significant issues or developments.Ideal candidates bring demonstrated component design experience, familiarity with design/test/analysis tools, strong problem-solving and communication skills, leadership capability to drive initiatives of moderate scope and impact, and project management skills to coordinate multiple efforts simultaneously, paired with a motivated, customer-focused mindset and passion for aerospace.

Roles and Responsibilities

As the Advanced Lead Engineer for LEAP HPC Mechanical Design, you will

  • Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to design and support engine components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and LEAP product / program requirements
  • Develop in-depth knowledge in turbomachinery while using prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute in consistency with engineering policies and procedures
  • Use interpersonal skills to collaborate with peers and provide direction and mentoring to new team members
  • Document and communicate results of technical data generated
  • Prepare and present technical data to support internal and external customers; participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
  • Share engineering information, promote open dialogue, and provide timely communications on significant issues or developments

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • At least 3 additional years of experience in an engineering design position
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.  We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
