QUALIFICATIONS 2 - 5+ years packaging and/or branding design experience Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent training and/or experience Excellent knowledge of relevant software (Illustrator, Premiere, Photoshop, Figma) Have proven experience in a top branding, design or creative business, ideally with experience working with large scale clients, packaging and digital. As a Design Engineer, you will have a high responsibility for engineering design, technical modeling, and analysis, including technical calculations and analysis, preparation or CAD/CAE models, detail and assembly drawings, design layouts (product BOM), tolerance application, and collaborate with the global design team. Key Responsibilities: Verification Planning and Execution: Create, manage, and drive comprehensive product verification plans for complex SoCs, ensuring all functional requirements are thoroughly validated. Oversee the SoC verification process from start to finish, ensuring timely and high-quality results. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Systems Engineering and HW/FW Design teams to ensure clear understanding of product requirements and implementation strategies. Contribute to and review SoC specifications and architectures from a verification perspective to ensure feasibility and completeness. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, providing strategic direction and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Manage hiring, resource planning, performance management, and the scheduling of verification efforts across multiple projects. Create a collaborative environment to ensure team members’ growth through knowledge sharing, coaching, and continuous learning. Product Delivery and Debugging: Support the debugging of verification failures and facilitate resolution through detailed analysis and proactive mitigation. Own the process of bringing highly integrated mixed-signal SoCs from concept to mass production, ensuring all verification and product requirements are met. Continuous Improvement: Drive the development and adoption of best practices in SoC verification, leveraging new tools and technologies such as UVM, formal verification, and continuous integration techniques. Maintain a deep understanding of digital SoC intricacies, including high-performance design, multiple clock domains, and wireless communication protocols. Job Requirements: Master's and/or Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent) in EC/ EE/ CS At least 15 years of experience in digital SoC verification, with 5 years in a leadership or management role. Proven success in leading complex SoC verification projects from concept to mass production, demonstrating strong leadership and technical expertise. Hands-on experience in SystemVerilog, Verilog, mixed-signal SoC simulation, and FPGA-based verification. Deep understanding of digital and mixed-signal IP integration, including custom RTL and digital/analog co-verification. Familiarity with HW emulators, embedded systems, wireless protocols, and signal processing. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, Python, and Tcl for test bench architectures and automation. Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and mentor a dispersed engineering team, fostering a high-performance culture. Strong schedule and resource management background, with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Desirable Skills: Track record of successfully executing block or chip-level verification plans. Deep understanding of the complete verification life cycle (test plan, testbench through coverage closure). Knowledge of Cadence verification tools and UVM verification methodologies. Experience with wireless communication standards such as 3GPP, WiFi, 4G/5G, or similar technologies. Ability to thrive in environments with changing or incomplete requirements while developing creative solutions and workarounds. Compensation and Benefits: At InnoPhase, our compensation package includes base pay and pre-IPO stock options. The base pay range for this role is between $140K-$225K. Your base pay will depend on the market, interview results, skills, qualifications, experience, education, and location. As a Designer at TAVERN, you will spearhead creative innovation while efficiently producing exceptional work from the initial concept to final output. Designers works closely with our Strategy and Client Services teams, serving as the primary creative force on several projects and providing support to the design leadership. In collaboration with the Design Director and/or Chief Creative Officer, you will motivate more junior members of the creative team, offering mentorship and sharing insights to help them achieve their full potential. From a creative standpoint, you will showcase a deep comprehension of Brand First principles through engaging design that elevates brand visibility and desirability. Additionally, you will engage in cross-functional collaboration with your colleagues in Strategy, Operations, and Client Management to craft distinctive brands by thoroughly understanding their essence and core values.



Requirements

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Designer at Tavern, you will report to Design Director, with a dotted line of reporting to our Founder/Chief Creative Officer or directly into the Founder/Chief Creative Officer. Your key responsibilities will involve:

  • Developing, organizing, structuring, and presenting well-thought-out design solutions that meet client objectives while interpreting and challenging feedback as necessary to enhance the brand.
  • Producing compelling ideas and maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship in all facets of design.
  • Linking strategy to creative output while elevating the aesthetic and creative capabilities of the design team and studio.
  • Possessing a solid grasp of the creative process from the brief to production, swiftly refining concepts to spotlight the strongest ideas.
  • Serving as the design steward for client brands, ensuring adherence to brand standards regarding color, typography, and visual assets, while organizing and maintaining design files and master assets as required.
  • Assisting the team in managing external specialists, such as illustrators, 3D rendering artists, and photographers.
  • Exhibiting integrity, honesty, reliability, responsiveness, and openness to earn the trust of clients and internal teams, acting as a creative partner to build trust and ultimately long-lasting relationships.
  • Executing impactful pitches, client and internal presentations, being comfortable dealing with senior clients and internal teams alike.
  • Fostering an atmosphere of inspiration and collaboration, mentoring and motivating junior members of the creative team and facilitating communication and engagement across departments.
  • Upholding the agency’s standards of creative excellence, punctuality, and profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 - 5+ years packaging and/or branding design experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent training and/or experience
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant software (Illustrator, Premiere, Photoshop, Figma)
  • Have proven experience in a top branding, design or creative business, ideally with experience working with large scale clients, packaging and digital.
  • Adept at creating holistic branding concepts and design solutions, articulating and executing brand ideas across multiple touch points
  • Thrives on direct, honest and supportive communication; equal parts a team player, inspiring leader and willing doer. 
  • Passionate about storytelling, great design, brand experiences and have a keen eye for detail.
