Experience and ability to read and interpret a wide variety of engineering drawings related to ship building is required. Experience with classification society rules for new construction, IMO regulations, and US Coast Guard requirements is required. Knowledge of and experience with piping systems, machinery such as engines, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, etc. Knowledge and/or experience concerning modern shipbuilding practices and European and/or Asian shipbuilding standards is a plus. POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is an onsite, full-time, safety-sensitive position. Standard schedule is 9-hour days Monday through Thursday and 4 hours on Friday.
