Email Execution, QA & Optimization
- Oversee QA processes for all email campaigns and journeys-including Litmus rendering, datachecks, and deployment readiness.
- Ensure rigorous testing practices are followed, including A/B testing and measurement frameworks.
- Analyze campaign performance, provide insights to stakeholders, and recommend optimization strategies rooted in data and industry best practices.
- Stay current with advancements in enterprise marketing automation, email trends, data privacy requirements (including CASL), and measurement strategies
This is a hybrid role
We are seeking an experienced, people-focused Senior Manager, Journey Strategy & Project Management to lead our delivery processes, optimize team performance, and oversee end-to-end management of complex, data-driven email programs. This role requires strong leadership, advanced project management capabilities, and hands-on expertise in enterprise workflow tools-including Workfront administration-to ensure operational excellence across our Digital Communications portfolio.

- Develops the business case by identifying needs, analysing potential options and assessing expected return on investment.
- Recommends business priorities, advises on resource requirements and develops roadmap for strategic execution.
- Leads the execution of initiatives/programs; assesses and adapts as needed to ensure quality of execution.
- Acts as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders.
- Defines business requirements for analytics & reporting to ensure data insights inform business decision making.
- Leads change management programs of varying scope and type, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives.
- Directs the planning & implementation of operational programs for an assigned digital portfolio/strategy and executes within required service level agreements and standards.
- Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group for assigned initiatives/business programs.
- Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
- Assists in the development of strategic plans and holistic business programs.
- Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
- Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
- Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
- Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Employs systems (e.g. customized exception reports, tracking reports etc.) to manage information.
- Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.
- Monitors and tracks performance and addresses any issues.
- Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
- Participates in change management activities.
- Provides input into the planning and implementation of strategic insights programs.
- Reviews the ongoing programs for effectiveness, considers industry trends and recommends enhancements; makes changes as required.
- Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.
- Implements changes in response to shifting trends.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of overall experience including 5+ years of digital marketing or CRM operations, including enterprise-scale email program management.
- 4+ years of direct team leadership experience, managing project or marketing operations teams.
- Workfront administration experience is required, including building workflows, forms, dashboards, and system governance structures.
- Strong preference for experience with Adobe Campaign, though candidates with enterprise automation experience (Marketo, Salesforce, Eloqua, etc.) will be considered.
- Advanced HTML/CSS experience with a focus on email coding; SQL knowledge is an asset.
- Expertise in QA tools and processes (Litmus or equivalent).
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management capabilities; able to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Nice to Have
- Previous agency or consulting experience.
- Experience overseeing full email project lifecycle including intake, briefing, targeting, build, QA, and deployment.
- Experience building operational frameworks, RACI models, or cross-functional governance structures
Salary:
$122,400.00 - $228,000.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
