Read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to apply accurate handling, storage, and spill-response procedures. Personal protective equipment, such as lab coats, coveralls, facemasks, and steel-toe shoes, is often required. The position requires regular lifting of 30-40 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and using equipment like pushcarts and forklifts to move up to 100 lbs. Standing, walking, and manual material handling of chemical containers are frequent activities, sometimes in varied temperature environments. Overtime work may also be necessary. Job Summary We are seeking a polished, professional Doorman/Bouncer to represent the first line of hospitality and safety at our upscale bar. In this role, you will verify guest identification, manage door flow, maintain a refined and secure atmosphere, and professionally escort out any guests whose behavior warrants removal. The ideal candidate has strong experience in nightlife or hospitality security, exceptional situational awareness, and the ability to uphold firm boundaries while maintaining a respectful, guest-focused demeanor.
Key Responsibilities • Greet guests and verify identification to ensure compliance with age requirements • Manage entry flow, capacity, and overall guest safety at the door • Maintain visibility at entrances to deter unsafe or inappropriate behavior • Identify and professionally escort out guests who are disruptive, overly intoxicated, or violating policies • Communicate clearly with bar staff and management regarding potential concerns • Assist in monitoring overall crowd behavior throughout the night • Document notable incidents and submit concise, accurate reports when required
Qualifications • Previous experience as a doorman, bouncer, or security professional in a bar, lounge, or nightlife environment preferred • High school diploma/GED • Strong understanding of bar security, de-escalation, and conflict-resolution techniques • Ability to maintain a calm, authoritative presence under pressure • Professional appearance, strong communication skills, and excellent judgment • High level of integrity, discretion, and reliability • Ability to work independently and remain attentive for extended periods
