QUALIFICATIONS: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in consumer electronics, wearables, or soft goods design. Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, tolerance analysis, and mechanical drawing creation. Experience with soft goods integration, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and materials like silicones, textiles, elastomers, and plastics. Familiarity with second sourcing, supplier qualification, and risk mitigation strategies in manufacturing. Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively across disciplines and time zones. Passion for product development and attention to detail. Experience working with offshore manufacturing partners preferred. Knowledge of wearables, sports/fitness accessories, or human factors engineering preferred. Job Overview We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced individual for the position of Senior Medical Science Liaison. The Senior Medical Science Liaison will be responsible for integrating scientific expertise and knowledge with brand strategies to ensure successful implementation of Sumitomo Pharma America's marketed and emerging product portfolio. Job Duties and Responsibilities Identify key national and regional, and local oncology thought leaders and priority customers, build and maintain advocacy with these individuals, and function as their primary scientific contact. Assist in the management of relationships between key opinion leaders and corporate product teams, as well as provide education of priority customers on research and development projects. Accumulate key competitive information to aid the clinical and marketing teams in drug/brand development. Identify, initiate, coordinate, evaluate and monitor investigator-sponsored studies intended to support the clinical and scientific strategy of the Company's products. Help develop and manage timelines of publication plans of investigator-sponsored studies. Assist in the identification, evaluation, and engagement of potential investigators for corporate trials. Assist the clinical trials team, as needed, in the ongoing support and communication with investigators on corporate trials. Develop key advocates as speakers to support the Company's products and strategies. Assist in the development of, and participate in, advisory boards and medical education programs. Contribute scientific and clinical expertise to the development and execution of commercial educational activities. Provide clinical resources for programs supporting sales/sales training and marketing efforts and professional services. Represent the Company at national, regional, and local oncology meetings and conferences. Maintain clinical and technical expertise in the area of oncology through review of the scientific literature and attendance at key scientific meetings. Leads assigned projects within the MSL organization. Perform other duties as assigned. Key Core Competencies Patient care clinical experience or strong scientific research experience in the therapeutic area (Prostate Cancer, Myelofibrosis, or Acute Myelogenous Leukemia) preferred. Strong project leadership and management history required. Ability to efficiently manage time and priorities. Strong leadership skills and the ability to compile and disseminate information to others in a cohesive fashion to assure a clear understanding of project status and direction. Understanding of drug development and life-cycle development of a product. Willingness to travel >50% of the time within the domestic US. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in a related field required. 5-10 years of relevant scientific or clinical experience in Oncology/Hematology; preferably in Prostate Cancer, Myelofibrosis, or Acute Myelogenous Leukemia 3+ years of relevant experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry 3+ years of MSL experience in oncology/hematology preferred. Advanced degree in medical science (MD, PharmD, or PhD) is strongly preferred. Candidates without an advanced degree are required to have at least 5 years of industry MSL experience, and 6-10 years overall related experience. The base salary range for this role is $172,200 to $215,300. Base salary is part of our total rewards package which also includes the opportunity for merit-based salary increases, short incentive plan participation, eligibility for our 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances and leaves provided in line with your work state. Our robust time-off policy includes flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays plus additional time off for a shut-down period during the last week of December, 80 hours of paid sick time upon hire and each year thereafter. Position Details:

  • Location: Reliant Medical Group, a Part of Optum: 5 Neponset St, Worcester, MA 01606
  • Department: Clinical Hematology/Oncology
  • Schedule: Full time, 38.75 hours/weekly. Monday through Friday, hours between 8:30AM - 5:00PM

This position performs a full range of medical support services while ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment & instruments
  • Room patients, obtain health history and check vital signs
  • Document patient care using electronic medical record software
  • Perform phlebotomy, urinalysis and handle patient specimen samples
  • Administer medications and perform injections/immunizations
  • Assist providers with minor, in-office procedures and perform point-of-care testing

Required Qualification:

  • Medical Assistant diploma, technical certification or 1+ years of experience performing the critical skills of a medical assistant after on-the-job training or current enrollment in an accredited Medical Assistant program or EMT certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPR certification
  • Experience with electronic medical record software (EPIC)
  • Experience performing medical back-office tasks including obtaining vital signs, injections/immunizations, phlebotomy, urinalysis and administering medications
  • Active medical assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, RMA and CMAC), or ability to obtain within 180 days

The hourly range for this role is $20.00 to $25.00 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
