Job Title: Software Test Engineer — Virtual ECU & Virtual Vehicle Simulation Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer / QA Engineer to join our team focused on ensuring the highest quality standards for our in-house simulation platform for automotive software virtualization. In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive testing strategies and tools to validate our simulation environment across multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, and QNX). The ideal candidate has a strong background in quality assurance for embedded systems, a keen eye for detail, and hands-on experience with automation, test frameworks, and continuous integration. Key Responsibilities: •   Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts   in   simulation platform validation, ensuring robust coverage of functional, performance, and security requirements. •   Tool and Framework Development: Collaborate with development teams to design and integrate testing tools and frameworks that align with the in-house simulation platform, and work towards automating the validation of cross-platform code. •   Automation & CI/CD Integration: Design and implement automated test suites and integrate them within the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines, ensuring rapid feedback on simulation builds and updates. •   Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with software engineers, system architects, and other stakeholders to identify quality gaps and suggest improvements, ensuring that industry trends and best practices in automotive simulation and virtualization are incorporated. •   Documentation & Reporting: Document test cases, report findings, and track issues, ensuring clear communication of quality metrics to drive continuous improvement of the simulation platform. Required Qualifications: •   Bachelor's degree   in engineering   or related technical discipline is required. •   Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on embedded systems or automotive software testing. •   Proficiency in designing and executing manual and automated test cases, including scripting experience in Python. •   Experience with cross-platform testing, especially in Windows, Linux, and QNX environments. •   Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) for simulation environments. •   Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. •   Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies. Preferred Qualifications: •   Master’s degree or higher education in engineering or related technical field is preferred. •   Experience with automotive design processes and quality standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE. •   Knowledge of in-vehicle networking protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and familiarity with AUTOSAR standards. •   Previous experience in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks for large-scale simulation systems. Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer / QA Engineer to join our team focused on ensuring the highest quality standards for our in-house simulation platform for automotive software virtualization. In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive testing strategies and tools to validate our simulation environment across multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, and QNX). The ideal candidate has a strong background in quality assurance for embedded systems, a keen eye for detail, and hands-on experience with automation, test frameworks, and continuous integration.


Key Responsibilities:


 Test Strategy & Planning:
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts in simulation platform validation, ensuring robust coverage of functional, performance, and security requirements.

 Tool and Framework Development:
Collaborate with development teams to design and integrate testing tools and frameworks that align with the in-house simulation platform, and work towards automating the validation of cross-platform code.

 Automation & CI/CD Integration:
Design and implement automated test suites and integrate them within the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines, ensuring rapid feedback on simulation builds and updates.

 Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with software engineers, system architects, and other stakeholders to identify quality gaps and suggest improvements, ensuring that industry trends and best practices in automotive simulation and virtualization are incorporated.

 Documentation & Reporting:
Document test cases, report findings, and track issues, ensuring clear communication of quality metrics to drive continuous improvement of the simulation platform.

Required Qualifications:


 Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline is required.

 Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on embedded systems or automotive software testing.

 Proficiency in designing and executing manual and automated test cases, including scripting experience in Python.

 Experience with cross-platform testing, especially in Windows, Linux, and QNX environments.

 Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) for simulation environments.

 Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

 Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:


 Master’s degree or higher education in engineering or related technical field is preferred.

 Experience with automotive design processes and quality standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE.

 Knowledge of in-vehicle networking protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and familiarity with AUTOSAR standards.

 Previous experience in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks for large-scale simulation systems.
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
