JOB DESCRIPTION There is a potential need for both undergraduate and graduate courses to be taught on campus, off campus in a corporate setting or online. We have specific interest in areas such as Foundations of Computer Science, Algorithms, Software Engineering and Object-Oriented Design, Interface Design and Artificial Intelligence. In addition, we have ongoing interest in introductory computer science courses where our current introductory courses emphasize program design using languages such as Racket/Scheme, Python, Java and C/C++. An ideal applicant will hold an advanced degree in Computer Science or related discipline with significant practical experience in the relevant area, as well as having successful undergraduate or graduate teaching experience. The Role The Computer Vision Applied Scientist will be a part of the AI team that builds and deploys deep learning models to find, classify, locate, and track wildfires from cameras and satellites. You will be working on computer vision, foundational vision model, multi-modal LLM, sensor fusion, 3D localization, and understanding scenes. Position Title: Quarterly Lecturer - Electrical and Computer Engineering (2025 - 2026) Position Type: Temporary Salary Range: $10,051 per Course Equivalent (CE) Purpose: The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering seeks applications for quarterly lecturers (QLs) for the 2024-2025 academic year to teach Electrical & Computer Engineering courses. Santa Clara University operates on a quarter system. Each quarter (fall, winter, and spring) is 10 weeks long, with an extra week for final examinations. Graduate classes are typically held during the 7:10-9:00 AM, 5:10-7:00 PM, and 7:10-9:00 PM time slots. Undergraduate classes are held at various times throughout the day (Monday-Friday). QLs are allowed to teach up to 4-course equivalencies (CEs) per academic year with no more than 2 CEs in any particular quarter.
