A Day in the Life Of:

  • Develop analytics using Java MapReduce and Python in a Linux environment (Red Hat version 7+)
  • Design and implement prototypes that answer new questions and refine existing answers
  • Create analytics supporting survey and intelligence value assessments
  • Collaborate with analysts, systems engineers, and developers to create integrated, scalable solutions
  • Provide software engineering support including installation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting

Must Have:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or Associate’s degree plus 10 years of relevant experience, or High school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience (with in-depth related experience)
  • Strong proficiency in:
  • Java MapReduce
  • Python
  • Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), Hive, Pig
  • Distributed NoSQL technologies such as HBase, CloudBase/Accumulo, BigTable
  • RESTful service development
  • JSON/BSON serialization
  • Linux (Red Hat)
  • GitLab
  • Atlassian Jira

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with:
  • Tech/team leadership
  • SIGINT analysis
  • Maven
  • Agile development processes, including Kanban
  • JavaScript, Bash scripting
