Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an experienced Senior Principal Software Engineer - Transformations Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA. The selected candidate will develop scripts and verification procedures, integrate, test and troubleshoot Java applications, microservices and web based applications. Essential Functions: Work with a team of developers and integrators focused on delivering software products as part of an IFC. Work in a process-oriented software development environment across the software lifecycle Participate in Interface Control Document (ICD) working groups to provide feedback on interface changes Troubleshoot issues to determine if issue is with transformations, canonical or in software dependencies Interface/Collaborate across Operating Units and Tech Areas to help SEIT shape ICDs Mentor team members on transformation process for ADD-A Oversee/Review transformation generation and code updates and look for ways to automate this process as much as possible The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
