This is a unique opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle while closely collaborating with quantitative researchers to improve our ability to provide low latency intelligence to our trading systems. As a Technical Lead, you will guide technical direction and mentor team members, driving the evolution of our trading infrastructure. While prior experience with market data is a plus, it is not a requirement for this role. We are looking for someone with strong operational expertise who is capable of ensuring reliable and performant systems, efficient troubleshooting, and driving improvements in our production environment to support trading opportunities. This is an opportunity to directly impact our trading capabilities and contribute to a team that pushes the boundaries of speed and efficiency in financial markets. Experience with scripting languages like Python for automation, analysis, and tooling. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a real-time, demanding environment. Strong communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Make Wayve the experience that defines your career!

At Wayve, we are creating autonomy that propels the world forward. Our vision is realized through deep Embodied AI technology and advanced onboard software that enables vehicles to perceive and navigate complex real-world environments.

To support this mission, we are expanding our Verification & Release (V&R) group with a role focused on developing and scaling the system tests infrastructure—a critical enabler of product validation, quality assurance, and continuous software integration. This role offers the opportunity to work on a greenfield infrastructure with significant impact across Wayve’s software stack and testing pipeline.

The Role

In this role, you will take part in designing, implementing, and optimizing the infrastructure used for system verification and product validation of our embedded and robotic AI software. Your focus will be on automated software test infrastructure—enabling efficient, scalable, and reliable execution of system-level and integration tests.

You will collaborate closely with the onboard software, DevOps, test, and infrastructure teams to ensure the delivery of a highly automated, data-rich test pipeline with robust reporting, coverage tracking, and traceability.

This is a hands-on, high-impact engineering position focused on infrastructure depth, technical leadership within projects, and scalable system design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test infrastructure for automated system and integration tests.

  • Implement scalable test execution workflows with automation hooks integrated into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Integrate third-party verification and quality tools, including JAMA, coverage tools (MC/DC), style compliance checkers, and artifact management systems such as Artifactory and AWS.

  • Develop infrastructure for report generation, test dashboards, traceability matrices, and system metrics.

  • Support validation teams in defining KPIs and creating methods to collect, manage, and visualize verification data.

  • Collaborate with CI/CD and DevOps teams to optimize test reliability, maintainability, and turnaround time.

  • Drive infrastructure-level improvements that enhance verification coverage, debug support, and compliance visibility across product lines.

About You

You are a technically strong software engineer who thrives in building infrastructure at scale. You bring experience working in cross-functional environments on system validation problems, and enjoy designing robust, automated systems that support large and dynamic software organizations.

Essential Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in software verification infrastructure, CI/CD integration, or product test automation.

  • Deep knowledge of CI/CD practices and system test architecture.

  • Proficiency in Python and experience with Bazel build systems.

  • Hands-on experience building test frameworks and test integration tools (e.g., using PyTest or custom libraries).

  • Experience integrating software quality and verification tools (e.g., JAMA, MC/DC, MISRA).

  • Strong experience with test dashboards, metrics, and reporting infrastructure.

  • Effective collaboration skills, with experience working alongside DevOps, software engineers, and test teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

#LI-KM2

We understand that everyone has a unique set of skills and experiences and that not everyone will meet all of the requirements listed above. If you’re passionate about self-driving cars and think you have what it takes to make a positive impact on the world, we encourage you to apply.
